Battlewagon weaponry options?
« on: January 17, 2009, 09:51:13 PM »
Again, my reading of the codex leaves me wondering if what is said is really what is meant to be legal, so here is my question:

Is it legal to equip a Battlewagon with both a Killkannon and another of the 'big gunz' (ie Kannon, Lobba, or Zzapp Gun)?

Thanks,

its legal as they are in different sections of the equipment chart but apart from having a redundancy for "weapon destroyed" results and stopping severe stacking of "immobilised" and "weapon destroyed" results becoming in a "wrecked" im not sure why you'd want to

the killkannon being an ordanance weapon and stopping the other big guns from firing and reducing the transport capacity to boot, it just doesnt seem like a sensible combination for a gunwagon to me

Yeah, you can, but it's just not usually a good idea for the above reasons.

But additionally, note that it's slightly better to take a Kannon instead of a Rokkit.  Same price, same stats, but the Kannon has a bigger range and can fire frag shells.

You can have more rokkits on the Wagon than kannons, on the other hand. Although I'll admit that the versatility of the kannon trumps the rokkit's single role.

Aye, there's a use for the Rokkits.  But the only one is to put four of them along with a Kannon on a Bunkerwagon, and just sit there pounding enemy tanks.

Otherwise Big Shootas are the preferable 'secondary weapon'.
