Background: In the long and glorious history of the Imperial Guard there are some regiments that perform above and beyond the call of duty, setting an example for all to follow with their faith, prowess, and dedication.  The Cadian 763rd is not one of these regiments.  The 763rd is what you would call an average regiment(By Cadian Standards).  Raised as a response to the recent storming of the Cadian gate(Along with 700-950) the 763rd has proven itself to be an acceptable combat unit.  The regiment is generally employed in the trenches that now seem to cover the barren moors of Cadia.  Since it's founding the 763rd has suffered an estimated 1512% casualties.  This is due to two reasons that are in turn due to the breakdown of the Cadian High Command.  Instead of refounding "spent" regiments new recruits are simply "added on" to the existing formation in the field.  The second, and another Interesting aspect of the 763rd,(And generally speaking regiments 700-950 get similar treatment) is that they have found their individual companies scattered across the vast expanse of the Imperium.   Although hard to explain this is how it usually works.  A company(or several) are formed to renforce the regiment in the field defending Cadia itself.  Next what happens is that administration(in desperate need of forces) attaches these new companies to a contingent of CEF(Cadian Expeditionary Force) destined for some foreign war zone(often near by, like Agripinaa).  The new companies are put on shuttles and sent off still bearing their original unit designation(example: Cadian 763rd 17th company Commander Fiffera).  This makes the 763rd(on paper) roughly 80 companies strong and accounts for the abnormal casualty figure as the regiment was originally only 20 companies strong.
