Tactic for lictors good or bad?
« on: February 23, 2008, 11:02:36 AM »
Some things i got from the other lictor post, but i ain't getting reactions on my post so i hope people will give their ideas on these strategies..

lictors good for tying up shooty troups,
so when you're playing with multiple squads of stealers
who are desperatly urging to taste blood but have to stick to/behind
cover to survive are very well supported by the lictors abbility to tie up
lets's say bolter squads that oter wise would shoot the amphetamine parrot out of the
stealers when they got in LOS.
this way the lictors would definitly ears their points back since a lot
less stealers will get killed, right..??

and when you deepstrike your lictors in an area terrain where
enemies are in hiding, because they are terrified of the swarm
that will rip them apart very soon, and you deepstrike on top of
a unit. You'll still be insta killed right?

and another question;
ravaners are fast, in 2nd turn they should be able to come close to
enemy lines. Can't this also be helpfull to CC together with the lictors?
because ravaners don't look like that big of a threat right? when they
are solo, but when unexpected lictors pop up to aid these beasts
it could also turn out as a bloody mess.. or is that plain stupid idea
that definetly should be avoided like the plague?

thnx and happy gaming!

In theory, yes.

Yes.

Raveners are pretty deadly all on their own. A better 'combo' is lictor and HGs, or rippers, or gargs, or gaunts.
