Not trying to beat a dead horse, but you said in your post:

They are immune to all non-magical means. Spells and magical weapons work normally.

Since Gimli only has no magical means, he would not have been able to score a wound  :)

I also said "(which means you score a wound only 8,3% of all opportunities, very nasty)"

If you have a magical weapon you would wound the creature normally. However, it is Invulnerable (that is, is only wounded if one of the wound-rolls is a 12) to all non-magical means.

As for magic Wiggus

could someone, probably Thod with his large sword, use a fate point to do, something? I seem to remember you saying that fate points could also be used to deal extra damage or something? I will not take a shot with my bow, because, with my shield hindering my accuracy, I will probably hit a friendly before I hit the wight.

Well, if the mage can't fire his spell, then there's no point in my retreating. I'll stay put and keep stabbing away, I guess.

Standing up to the wight, the heroes fight on.

Gimli growls but his swing goes wild
Lori curses and slams his hammer to the hip of the wight, turning the hammer and slamming it up at the wight of the head, but the magical invulnerability of the fiend makes it just grin at the feeble attacks. The wight exploits the opening and hits back but the wound is merely grazing.
Altion stabs, but the speartip digs into the flagstones.

The wight stabs at Lori but overextends, and Lori slams onto the arm but the blow glances off.

Gimli cowers in fear, intimidated by the wight's immortal nature.
Lori does not cower, but grunts as he slams at the wight and smashes some teeth out of the wight's grin.
Altion stabs, but the wight dips his head and the spear misses.

The wight stabs at Lori, trying to put him down, but misses.

Gimli hacks with his axe at the wight, but misses. The wight exploits the opening, slicing at him, then turning the blade and slashing at him again. Gimli deftly avoids the blows.
Lori hits at the wight but the blow just glances off him.
Altion stabs at the wight and although the strike hits, it does nothing to harm the creature.

The fiend stabs at Lori but does not manage to drive it into him.

Gimli grunts and hacks at the wight but does not manage to harm the wight.
Lori, overcome with his wounds, cowers in fear.
Altion's eyes shine with fear at the undead monster, and stares at it.

The undead monster stabs at Lori, and he smacks the hand away with his hammer.
[/b]

Gimli misses.
Lori hits critically, gets an extra attack, critically hits again, and then fumbles on the extra attack. No damage is done to to the wight. The wight hits back, inflicting two wounds, but another point of Fate is expended and Lori does not drop.
Althion misses.
Wight fumbles, but Lori fails to capitalize.

Gimli fails Bravery.
Lori succeeds with Bravery, hits and scores one wound (12, 4).
Althion misses.
Wight misses.

Gimli fumbles, the wight scoring a critical hit and an additional hit. He scores four wounds but Gimli uses a Fate point to avoid the damage.
Lori hits, but inflicts no wounds.
Althion hits for no damage.
The wight misses.

Gimli hits but inflicts no damage.
Lori fails Bravery.
Althion fails Bravery.
The wight fumbles but Lori fails with his counterattack.

You are in a deadlock and running out of Fate. Clearly something else has to come into play. I think the protip would be to use the Flames of the Phoenix to heal someone, possibly Lori and/or cycle Thod into the fray replacing someone else.

I suppose I'll continue to stab. Would smacking this thing around with a torch do any better? Undead fear fire, right? ;)

Seeing as you have no torch, I really can't see how an answer would benefit you. :)
And no, undead do not fear. Anything.

Gimli roars at the undead, and drives his axes home into the cold corpse. It does not seem to even register the blow.
Lori stumbles back from the battle, mumbling arcane phrases as he pulls burned ember and bone from his pouch and throws it in the air. With a brilliant red flame erupting before him, his wounds close up and a hue of health returns to his otherwise tortured visage.
Althion stabs from his position, hitting but the blow merely glances off the fiend.

The Wight turns, grinning, hissing, and stabs with his blade at Gimli, but the crafty drawf sidesteps.

Gimli hits for 0 wounds.
Lori heals and is restored to his staring 3 Wounds, expending a Spell Component. I just noticed that you still have your wand too. That might be useful. Did I tell you what it does?
Althion hits for 0 wounds.
The wight misses.

I dunno, I'd look for a torch on a wall? Maybe that's a relic from my D&D days.

Maybe there's a puddle of holy water nearby, I could dip my spear tip into? ;) Trying to think outside the box here, but I'm not seeing a whole lot of options that don't amount to fleeing.

Althion will continue to poke holes in the Wight.

Your wand has two charges of the spell Shock which does 5 dice worth of damage (as opposed to your hammer which does 2) unless the target wears metal armour, in which case it does 10.

FYI - Wight is wearing chainmail.

in that case
Lori in a moment of sheepishness while pulling out his spell components finds the wand he'd tucked in his waistband. Damning himself and his rivalry with Gimli he had completely forgot he had a weapon that promised to see the end of this foul beastie. Leveling the wand Lori Shouted "Not all ye fighting need be with ya axe ya dunderhead specially when its going right through yonder beastie step back folks" and levels the shot

Hmmm.... maybe I won't connect a lightning rod to the Wight... I'll delay my attack until after the bolt is delivered.

Seeing Lori pointing his wand at the wright, Gimli deliverers a series of quick blows to keep the wright cornered.

Gimli will tie up the wright, so that everyone can get some distance, if that bolt should be an aoe attack.

Gimli grins, seeing Lori get the wand out, and brings his axe down on the wight, hitting it squarely over the shoulder, chopping off a thunk of undead flesh.
Althion stabs quickly, not wanting to get his speartip lodged in the wight, and flicks the tip into the sternum of the wight, turns it, and slashes it upwards, barely missing the face of his opponent.
As Lori pulls his wand free the wight turns, and starts to crumble apart, the injuries the creature has sustained overwhelms the magic holding it together.

Gimli hits, inflicting one wound (12, 3, 3, critical scores a 4)
Althion critically hits, but the free attack misses. He scores two wounds! (12, 11)

The wight is dead (this is the kind of luck you could have used a few moves away), and no wand charge got expended.

You all share 110 gold, resulting in a gain of 22 gold each.

Seeing the Wight crumble, Nellin congratulates the group, hoping no one realizes just how little he contributed to that fight
"Well fought ladies. Are you feeling ok Lori? You look a little shaken, maybe you should hang back a little from now on."

(OOC: I've been here, but there wasn't a lot I could do, I couldn't move in to attack and I didn't really want to risk shooting because of my shield. It seemed slightly redundant to post "Nellin continues to stand there twiddling his thumbs".
I'll attempt to continue roleplaying even if I have no actual actions to take from now on though.)
