Topic: doing it Nurgle style

Hey everyone! First I'd like to start off by saying this is gonna be new for me. What started this, the new Deathguard models. They are so fantastically done. In most editions I've played my Eldar or DA then would shift to my Dark Eldar or necrons and even to chaos. The only fully painted army I ever owned was Nurgle back in 3rd ed. Back then a guy walked in and fell in love with it and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. After that I just couldn't do it again. Thru the years I went strictly nightlords but GW doesn't seam to know what they want to do with them anymore. So now it is time to Nurgle-ize. Please bare with me as I try to do a step by step on how I nugle-ize a land raider and rhino to go with my pustulent army.

First I am re-utilising an old land raider and went thru all my old chaos bits to help out. There will be quite a bit of green stuff involved too. I'm using the drone as a template or idea that as nurgle takes over the hull is corroded and warped as the demonic parts push or bulge their way out. Orfacies to move thru replace hatches, entrails and tentacles pull thru, a demonic driver is created, etc.

Starting to look really good Dread. I know it's really early in the army build, but have you thought about your paint scheme yet? Are you going traditional death guard green or are you going to branch out to into some of the brown and tan schemes out there?

Thanks guys. It's gonna be a slow process waiting for glue to dry and putty. As for paint scheme, thinking about dirty whites and browns with the gooey greens and pink entrails and such.

It's come about just like you described from the start, mate. The raider is just BURSTING at the seams with Chaos energy... and that puss surfer! The raider being raided. This beast is going to look Mickey Mouse once painted... Be well Dread!

Looks great. Papa Nurgle would be proud. Are you going to add any rust effects after? I think that it would be the coup de gras for that paint job.
