Deny the Witch
« on: September 22, 2015, 07:33:52 AM »
Can a unit who isn't the target of a spell use it's Deny the Witch roll, due it's unit has a higher chance?

I'm under the impression the unit I targeted is the only one able to do this not everyone?

Am I wrong?

well as far as raw are concern i believed that's it yes. There was a similar debat a few month ago, and we conclude that you need to be the target to get to use your bonus.

Yes, you can deny with any unit, however you do not get any modifiers(such as adamantium will, psyker etc.) and will only succeed on a 6'.
Re-rolls such as runes of the farseer provides, are still ok IMHO, since they are not explicitly modifiers.
Modifiers are explained in the rulebook on p.1ยง1 Rule number 12. ;)

With the exception of a psyker with a psychic hood. If they are within ph range they can deny as if they are in the target unit.
Just because you can, doesn't mean that you should.

well isn't that an item spec so technicly it's written in the item description not in the raw of the rule about denie the witch.

Isn't PH a unit specific with the libby now? It used to have a range, but got nerfed, unless I didn't see it.
