Just saw a comment on the testing mission teased in the comment above.

Dawn of War 3 Gameplay FIRST LOOK - YouTube

The commenter is talking to a casual audience, so don't expect the most neckbeardy critique, but there's a fair bit of gameplay footage in there.

Pre-purchase (yeah, not worth it unless you're really into skin packs) has begun with April 27 as the launch date.

You have to love the smell of science in the morning. It smells of learning.... or perhaps a gas leak.

If Mass Effect Andromeda has taught me anything, it's that pre-purchasing is never worth it, regardless of the extras included.

Also, new cinematic

ME Andromeda wasn't bad, it was just more of the same really. Yeah pre-ordering nowadays doesn't really give you much. Pre-ordering used to be handy with physical media, so you new you would get a copy, now I just don't think companies have worked out what to do with it.

Andromeda was widely critizised for bugginess and messed up facial animations, iirc.

And preordering is a schmuck's game.

Getting back to the topic, I think that it looks better than Dawn of War II, which I couldn't get interested in at all, but just as with the table top game, I'm not overly happy about the inclusion of larger units, such as Knights.  The graphics look pretty impressive and I really like the look of the Eldar units.  It may be a game I try out once I have a new computer and more money.

Steam's been throwing around 50% coupons recently. Check your inventory if you're kind of interested in the game yet still beslubber off to anything like full price.
