Nice one, Magenb!
Now I know why they call you mage cause this piece is just magic. Love the pose. Can't get much more centerpiece than a hovering Farseer, mate. I want one... Flying pointy ears forever!!

That is really impressive magenb and I really like how your clever posing of the model has given it a real sense of movement.

I also agree with Looshkin about the paint scheme. It might only be red, white and blue but somehow the way they work on this model makes them better than that.

That's great work in terms of the posing and the choice of colours.  That Farseer is both elegant and gives the impression of being ready to unleash psychic energy.  A very good job indeed.

What a great model magenb! Great execution on the paint job and the conversion work is superb. Excellent choice of base too. The height really sets the model apart from the rest of the army.

Thanks Everyone. It is a really nice model its a shame GW force them to stop. Guess FW are playing to release their version of it some time soon.

The caster is Artel W (Artel W Miniatures), some interesting options for imperials still on there.

Just awaiting for the group to finalise the rule set but we should be kicking off a soulstorm style campaign soon, so looking forward to dropping her on the table.

Very nice model magenb. The combination of deep blue and red give it a very regal look.

So sad indeed that Artel W had to take most of its 40k down.

Finally worked out what I wanted to do with DA bases, so looks like Brathu-angau's getting bodyguards :)

Exarch is going to get magnetised, but have not got around to it just yet.

Is that bark or cork on the bases, Magenb? An amazing job as always, mate... Be well!

Looking super regal Mage. The white breastplates look sick! Love that color scheme. The Farseer looks right at home with them. Great job man. Love it!

Is that bark or cork on the bases, Magenb?

It's bark. I've used cork on my Corsairs and it looks good, but even if you layer cork its a bit too smooth when next to the Farseer rock pile. I found wood chips didn't give off a very good layer effect.

Thanks for the tips on doing white :)

Dude! What a model. I don't think I've seen a model that better captures the arrogance and psychic dexterity of a Farseer. Kickass stuff :)

Yeah some very talented people out there, super nice model. I'm still trying to find a way to add some floating runes or something.

Really cool DAs Mage! The white is so good; really nice and clean and it just makes the models pop. Looks like the start of a brilliant bodyguard!

Hey Mag, just a suggestion on the floating runes, have you considered fiber optics?

As stated by all, wow!

Actually never considered it, but sounds like a good idea. I've been messing around with fishing line, but the biggest issue is I can not find the right balance of rune size. I've tried pressure molding copies of various runes, like those from the DA guns, but they feel too big for me, since the runes are meant to fit in the pouch. Too small and the detail gets lost and its a floating blob lol.

Another idea would be to light them up with different colors to signify the different runes or use a clear plastic cut into small squares and use the small transfers on them lit by the optics. Watch battery and a small LED will work to light them up. Will give you good reason for dynamic base.

That would look super sweet and there is room to slip the cables through the rocks and hide the LED. Given the size of the runes I've been tinkering with, that might look good on a wraithseer too.

So its been a while since the last update...

My CWE managed to salvage and retro fit a crystal dome!

I cleaned off some of my old DA's to add some more body to the bodyguard unit for my Farseer and added some more touches to the first batch, finally pulling those decals out :)

Also got a small batch of new recruits from the other side of the galaxy and got them table ready :)

Managed to squeeze in a few games too including taking DE wych cults and Necrons for a spin (all under 1k points games). I'm going to have to spend more time with DE, they are just super fragile.

Necrons.. youch.. Nightscythe + veil of darkness = T2 blood bath.
