Not to complain but many of the quizzes are a lot harder if you are not British (the common wealth probably fits in here) or American. How the hell am I suppose to know which song is usually played when high school graduates enter the ball? Ethnocentric imperialism is what it is!  :P

On a brighter note I quite liked the wackier music quizzes in the latest batch. There was a very evil quizz that switched between multiple choice and spelling the answer, difficult but quite fun.

yeah... I know. Many quizzes are US/UK centric...     not much I can do about that since I am grabbing bunches of premade quizzes. :)

However, I'll see if I can find some others.

The American slang to British quizes are rather amusing. Apparently the British slang terms were taken from 1940's war movies as they are just bizarre in places.

The best question was in a WWII quiz (or the "famous operation name" quiz). It asked about the name of the last big German offensive. Consider my surprise that the "Ardennenoffensive" wasnt listed among the answers. Seemingly some smart ally General called it "bulge" urgh...

Well what do the majority of people know that battle as?  The Ardenne Offensive or the Battle of the Bulge?  Not like history is written by the winner or anything ;)
If there is anything that recent politics has taught us, it is that quotes taken out of context can mean what ever you want them to.
Well I always liked the globals...

I imagine the Russians know it as the "battle of would you guys stop faffing about over there and do some work for a change."

I've just laid some pure stinker quiz results for people to trample all over. Spank away.

I've never heard of Battle of the Bulge and I've read my fair share of WWII books, including ones made by British and American authors, now the Ardennes offensive, or even the Von Rundstedt offensive, on the other hand...

Not if the answers are wrong, such as was the case with one of the Chile questions, no  :).

Kindred keeps emailing me to tell me I'm wrong though (or at least misread the question).
Very embarrassing....

The time limit is a problem in that respect, because I was sure there were a couple more questions where the answers were incorrect, but I couldn't be sure that I had not misread the question, so I didn't dispute them.

Member quizzes are not approved yet...   So only staff can see them and preview them. Since it is a preview... No results recorded.

If there is a problem with the question or answer, then dispute it so I can correct it. ;)

For this weeks Slackers league, 16 out of the 25 questions were only from the 40K quizes. Is there a way to make it a little more general knowledge than that?
