Liked the first one a little bit more but man this is awesome...

The gem on the front part kind of makes it look weird actually but its ok, its the way the model was done so

I've just signed up, so I figured I'd share my small DE force with some other DE players :)

My figures aren't amazing by any means (especially compared to some of the stuff in this thread), but I'm happy enough with them. They're also the first lot of figures I've attempted to paint faces on so I think they came out well considering its the first time I've tried that

Anyway, here is my Corsair Fleet of Something (I haven't come up with a decent name yet)

Succubus

Lelith Hesperax

Hekatrix Bloodbrides

Inucbi

Kabalite Warriors - Not a great photo, they were taken before I found out my camera has a brightness setting

Wyches

Raider

Pain tokens

I was going to link the images to the larger versions on my Deviantart page, but the site said I wasn't allowed to post external links or something

Any suggestions (or fleet names :P) are welcome :)

Great colour scheme and painting - I'd be very happy to see an army that well painted set up opposite me.

Great painting.

And very fast as well. The models have not even existed a year yet, and allready you've accomplished this much. Thats really impressive as far as I'm concerned

Comparing to me, I have only painted 22 dark eldar models so far. (Becoming a dad a few months ago, didn't exactly give me extra painting time neither  ;) )

wow, very nice job man. Compared to me i've only paint larger stuff. 3 Ravagers, and 5 Raiders. Just can't seem to find the motivation to paint at the moment.

And yeah, I paint very quickly. The stuff I have at the moment was painted over the course of about 3 months. On average, I think each unit took me about 10-15 hours with the Succubus and Lelith taking about 3-4 hours each

I much prefer painting infantry over larger stuff if I'm honest. I don't particularly like working on large flat surfaces

Scourges (first Dark Eldar)
« Reply #248 on: August 21, 2011, 08:29:19 PM »

Sorry for the bad photo! Its very late and I just finished them ;P (except basing).

I enjoyed painting these, the leader was converted because of a polycement spillage that wrecked one set of wings, and almost all the heads (hand problems still recovering ;P ). But I like the result, I think exotic and creepy?

The dark eldar codex mentions sun cults in the book, and I think this army will be from the archon of one such cult :)

Please let me know what you think of my quick and cheerful painting :)

Thanks!

Anyone gone with the dark red colourscheme?

Planning on mixing Mechrite Red with Chaos Black to get a very very dark red basecolour then highlight the edges with Mechrite Red -> Blood Red -> Blazing Orange.

Thought I’d share my Bloodspray Kabal.

Detailed shots of the various models can be found on Flickr, along with more information about the paint scheme:  Dark Eldar - a set on Flickr

The force started life as the old Dark Eldar Battle Force in 2008, but lay dormant for a while until I resurrected it shortly before the new codex was released. It’s now up to about 2000 pts (the combined value of the models is a bit higher, but I can’t field 3 HQ and 4 HS in a standard FOC).

Fluff-wise, my Dread Archon Luseferous is one of Duke Sliscus’ right-hand men, whose Bloodspray Kabal took one of the three Flagships which he absconded with in his spectacular departure from Commoragh.  Despite living life as a pirate exile now, Luseferous maintains a number of alliances within the Dark City, ensuring that he has the tools he needs for his debauched raids, and allies to turn to if his relationship with Sliscus sours.

The components of my force can be found on the key below, if you can’t make them out from the description alone.

HQ
Dread Archon Luseferous – Converted from a Kabalite Warrior, with some Tau bits for trophies – counts as Duke Sliscus (11)
Two Haemonculi – Sybia and Sessine, from the Prophets of Flesh coven (10)
Drazhar, Master of Blades – although I usually use him as a standard Klaivex (12)

ELITES
3 Kabalite Trueborn – The Penetrating Dark (11)
5 Incubi – The Lords of the Falling Blade (12)

TROOPS
2 x 10 Kabalite Warriors – Crystal Pain and Obsidian Oath (5)
2 x 10 Wyches – The Knife Wind and A Thousand Blades, from the Cult of the Red Grief (9)
5 Wracks – Sybia’s Children (10)

FAST ATTACK
5 Hellions – The Thrice Cursed (4)
5 Reaver Jetbikes – The Bloodied Spear (8 )

DEDICATED TRANSPORTS
1 Raider and 1 Venom (3)

HEAVY SUPPORT
1 Cronos (6)
1 Talos (7)
1 Razorwing Jetfighter (1)
1 Ravager – Storm of Darkness – Converted from an old Raider and a new Ravager.  This will be my Dais of Destruction when I have converted a model for Vect, but for now I just use it as a Ravager (2)

Recently bought some scourges, threw them together. No heavy conversion work or anything, they're just awesome models.

Scourges (I lost a set of plastic wings somehow so the middle guy in the second pic is wearing metal warmachine wings)

Blaster Warriors

Regular Warriors

Lelith

6E gave me an idea for how to combine DE and CW:E so to go with that idea I'm calling the armor color "wraithbone" Basically, both sides ended up trying to combine the arts of the DE (power from pain) with wraithbone to make living armor and vehicles powered by suffering instead of spirits of fallen Eldar. I'll post the CW:E I'm painting now once I finish them
