Do all that yourself? That's pretty cool looking. I take it not a lot of assaulting on that board

Hi There

Yep, all done by me ( my wife was none too pleased ;) )  But it is a very hard board to play on or deepstrike onto :)

Thanks!

Pink foam? And if so how did you go about painting it without melting it?

Hiya There

Well easy really, at the time the wife and I were redecorating a couple rooms about the house so I used liberal amounts of "spare" water-based wall emulsion as a base coat, then sprayed with matt black paint and finished with a emulsion dry-brushing.  The lava is simply some yellow and red childrens craft paint from ASDA (Walmart) that only cost £1 per litre :)

Cheers!

May I suggest putting 1 or 2 bridges across a few gaps, to make it easier? Like say you can only move across the bridges, not just jump across. Looks incredibly fun to play on. I can see it now, my guard holding off a hoard of daemons across a bridge, whilst a Bloodthirster is attacking my flanks........ 8)

About how long did it take to make?

Hiya There

I've made more than 30 terrain bits for it such as bridges, trees, hills, and craters.  Altogether it took about 2weeks for the main 8 sections and the bits are ongoing as and when I think of something, but not long... :)

Updated army pic for my Blood Angels. Considering that at the start of 2010 I had one tactical squad painted, I'm pretty pleased.  :)

What are those weaponless Razorbacks? I didn't know there was such a thing!!!!!!!

Oh metagame, have you failed me?!?!?

Lol, jk.

Very nice army, considering how short of a time you've painted it in. Could we get a close up or two?

Dark Pariah: your Imperial Fists are awesome! Superb painting. The LR is very impressive; where did you get the extra parts? Also love the Space Hulk Terminators.

I'm loving those pink marines dude. Would love to see a full army pic when you have one  :)

VERY nice conversion and paint job on that Imperial Fist landraider.

Been meaning to do this for a while but never could be bothered to get around to it. After taking a few photos of my army anyway for my ToS write up, thought I'd post some pictures on here.

I'm nowhere near as good was what other people have posted, espicailly the Imperial Fists (very nice work there Dark Pariah). Props to CheesyRobMan for painting so much in that time (I wish I could paint as fast as you) and to Sputnik for the awesome pink marines  :P.

Anyway, here's the 1500 point army I've been playing with recently. I have far more painted than this, but I can't be bothered to fish it all out and take photos of them all.

Army shot:

Biker Captain and Bike squad:

CC Scout squad and Land Speeder Storm:

Two Ironclad Dreadnoughts with Drop Pods and an Autocannon Mortis Dreadnought:

Finally a Librarian with Tactical squad and their Drop Pod

Some really good painting in this thread. Hope I don't disappoint  :).

Thanks
Honest Win/Draw/Loss Record since 9th August 2010:
Space Marines: 49/18/22
Black Templars: 8/3/3
Grey Knights: 21/6/7
1500 Pts Black Templars vs Necrons. Capture and Control. Draw. 1-1 Objectives.

I don't get much time to play Warhammer recently unfortunately.

Thanks, the extra bits and pieces were mainly all off the Cities Of Death kits with a few Bastion parts aswell.

A few strategic cuts, clipping and filing and hey presto, fancy pants landraider.

That's a really cool dreadnought! The red is very deep.

For me the base is a bit too much...
