Nice army Abuk! Very moody and dark, as a proper 40k army should be. I REALLY like the exorcist conversion, I may have to steal that idea...

One thing I might suggest is washing the arco-flagellants skin with some flesh wash. They look a little flat to me, and I think just a wash will deepen their skin tones and give them the appropriate "unwashed" skin tone.

Great work!

Thank you Killersquid and thank you RJS.
Suggestion about Ogryn Flesh is a good one indeed. That's why I intend to buy it.. (and honestly- without your post I wouldn't probably bother to).

And about bases.. :)
Visit to Egypt has taken it's toll. I was impressed and taken aback by Sahara desert and I wanted to make an army that would operate on such land. The problem is that when you venture into the desert there is nothing to look at there- no grass, no rocks, no nothing (apart from piles/fields of garbage near main roads).
Desert is what it is- desert.
And that is why I did those bases to look how they look. Most people who have seen them 'live' like them (or like me and lie in the face ;)).

Long time ago I did bases that have colored edges but that didn't work (as you play paint scratches off even if you use ardcoat vanish).

Added few days later:
I've used Ogryn Flesh on skin and it doesn't look well. :)
Doh, still fighting.

I took my time to improve my army looks.
Here you can see some examples..

Canones threw away the pigeon (insufficient against Land Raiders for example) and picked up the Inferno Pistol (love fluff that goes with this piece of equipment). Cherubim wings got repainted and I think I will do the same with hair of my army leader.

Close-up of weapon swap results.

White hair color is typical for sisters- I had to have some. Some work with skin tone was done.

Minor skin improvement was done here. Ogryn flash was applied near clothing and metal elements.

Sweet figures all around, I love the weapons swap, and the Masks on the squad.... they look a little flat; but I love the fact that all different colours and Bold.

Pic of the WIP

The Daemonic leads to two crimes. You turn away from the path of righteousness and I just crapped a big one in the bowl again, anybody know the location for the scrubber. Hey brother bethel, wait come back i need the scrubber dammit. oh ya... you abandon the Emperor as the object of your Devotion. For the first, death is merely a just retribution. The second is Heresy so terrible that no punishment can be Sufficient. Dam, maybe I did find a sufficient punishment. swirly, ya...

Some nice looking models but... is it just me or are some of the photos squashed?  It looks like the guardsmen evolved on a high gravity planet :)

The last few days I have been crop n my photo bucket account. I am thinking that some of the pics after they were posted did not take the crop effect correctly. I will return tomorrow or in a few days and delete the link and re add it to see if that changes the effect.

1) Create account on (for example) Photobucket.
2) Upload image.
3) Copy paste IMG code into the massage.
4) Enjoy..

 Hope this helps.

Looking good.. but why bases are unfinished?
They would probably make these models look better.
