Re: IainC's Dastardly Diplomatic Devilry - Fall 1918 Orders Due 1st August

I'm leaving today for a week's vacation with no internet access whatsoever, so I will be unable to send any orders in until I come back.
Tell me these things in advance and I can rearrange things to accommodate it. Dropping that in with no notice halfway through a turn is kind of rude. Get me your orders for this turn and then I'll hold the game until you get back.

Builds are in, a new fleet in Kiel while the Bohemian army goes off to take drugs and write poetry in draughty attics.

Here's the map:

Orders for the Spring 1919 turn then are due by Midnight GMT on Monday 8th August.

Really nothing I could have done, seeing as I didn't even know until the day before. But I apologize, and seeing as there are no vacations in the near future it won't happen again. No harm done anyways.

Builds are in. France builds a new fleet in Brest while Austria opts to keep its factories idle for a year.

Due to me being away for GDC and the ETC this week, the deadline for the next turn will be longer than usual, you have until Midnight GMT on Sunday 21st August to get your orders in for the Spring 1920 turn. I'll still be available for questions via PM or email in the meantime but I'll only have a work laptop that won't have Realpolitik or an FTP client on it.

Somewhat delayed, the Spring turn is now ready.

Please be sure to double check your orders before you submit them, there are some orders that I think are mistakes or units that have been overlooked. If I catch them in time I'll query anything that looks like a mistake but once the deadline has passed, what I have is what I run.

Here are the submitted orders:

Austria:
F Apulia - Naples (*Fails*)
A Bohemia - Tyrolia
A Galicia Supports A Bohemia (*Ordered to Move*)
F Greece Supports F Ionian Sea
F Ionian Sea Supports F Apulia - Naples (*Cut*)
F Naples - Tyrrhenian Sea (*Disbanded*)
A Sevastopol Supports A Ukraine
A Trieste - Budapest
A Tyrolia - Trieste
A Ukraine Supports A Galicia
A Vienna Supports A Tyrolia - Trieste

France:
F Brest - Mid-Atlantic Ocean
F English Channel - London
A Piedmont Supports A Venice
F Rome - Naples
F Tunis - Ionian Sea (*Fails*)
A Tuscany Supports A Venice
F Tyrrhenian Sea Supports F Rome - Naples
F Western Mediterranean, no move received

Germany:
F Belgium - English Channel
A Berlin - Munich (*Fails*)
A Munich, no move received
A Ruhr Supports A Berlin - Munich (*Fails*)
A Silesia Supports A Munich - Bohemia (*Void*)
A Venice Supports A Piedmont - Tyrolia (*Void*)

Russia:
A Livonia Supports A Prussia - Warsaw (*Fails*)
A Moscow Supports A Prussia - Warsaw (*Fails*)
F North Sea Hold
A Prussia - Warsaw (*Fails*)
A St Petersburg Supports A Moscow
F Wales Hold
A Warsaw - Galicia (*Fails*)

And the map:

Resulting in:

There are no retreats so we will go straight into the Fall turn, orders for which are due by Midnight GMT on Friday 26th August

F North Sea Hold
A Prussia - Warsaw (*Fails*)
A St Petersburg Supports A Moscow
F Wales Hold
A Warsaw - Galicia (*Fails*)

Here's one map:

And here's what it looks like afterwards:

No retreats this turn either as the only unit that needed to retreat had nowhere to retreat to. Therefore we'll go direct to builds:

Austria:   Supp 11 Unit  9 Build  1
France:    Supp  9 Unit  8 Build  1

Germany:   Supp  6 Unit  6 Build  0
Russia:    Supp  8 Unit  7 Build  0

Austria's once unassailable lead is being slowly chipped away by a resurgent France. Where will it all end?

Get builds to me ASAP please.

I'll definitely get my builds in, but I make no promises about orders.  I most likely should be able to, but if something happens with the hurricane blowing in, I'm just giving you warning.

Builds are in - new fleets steam out of Trieste and Marseille so here's a map:

Given the somewhat precarious position of Azore, I'm going to set the usual 3 day deadline for orders but I'll extend this as required if things start to look grim over on the US east coast.

For now though orders for the Spring 1921 turn are due by Midnight GMT on Tuesday 30th August.

Ok, orders are in. The delay is my fault as I'm on holiday in the US and don't have access to my usual PC or in fact routine access to any PC.

Here are the orders:

Austria:
F Apulia - Naples (*Dislodged*)
A Budapest Supports A Vienna
A Galicia Supports A Vienna (*Dislodged*)
F Greece Supports F Ionian Sea
F Ionian Sea, no move received
A Serbia Supports F Trieste
A Sevastopol Supports A Ukraine
F Trieste Hold
A Ukraine Supports A Galicia (*Cut*)
A Vienna Supports F Trieste

France:
F Brest - English Channel
F London Hold
F Marseilles - Piedmont
F Naples Supports A Rome - Apulia
A Rome - Apulia
F Spain(sc) - Gulf of Lyon
F Tunis - Ionian Sea (*Fails*)
A Tyrolia - Trieste (*Fails*)
F Tyrrhenian Sea Supports F Naples

Germany:
A Bohemia Supports A Warsaw - Galicia
F Mid-Atlantic Ocean - Western Mediterranean
A Munich Supports A Bohemia
A Ruhr Supports A Munich
A Silesia Supports A Warsaw - Galicia
A Venice Supports A Tyrolia - Trieste

Russia:
A Livonia Supports A St Petersburg - Moscow (*Fails*)
A Moscow - Ukraine (*Fails*)
F North Sea Hold
A Prussia - Warsaw
A St Petersburg - Moscow (*Fails*)
F Wales Hold
A Warsaw - Galicia

And here's a map:

Here is the result:

We have two retreats to handle, both of them Austrian:

Austrian F Apulia can retreat to Adriatic Sea or it may disband.
Austrian A Galicia can retreat to Rumania or it may disband.

Get those to me as soon as possible please Azore and we can roll on to the Fall turn.

Note that if the French fleet retreats, France will have to disband a unit at the end of the year anyway.

Alrighty, the French fleet retreats resulting in this map:

This means the scores and builds at the end of the year are as follows:
Austria:   Supp 11 Unit 10 Build  0
France:    Supp  8 Unit  9 Remove  1
Germany:   Supp  6 Unit  6 Build  0
Russia:    Supp  9 Unit  7 Build  1

It's unlikely but possible that the French disband may affect Russian plans so if both of you could confirm your plans via PM that would be grand.
