The satalite pictures appeared on the large screen before the farseer.
"There are heavy partolls all over the place. There will be no advance without confrontation. and its only a matter of time before the imperial guard discover that they have lost controll of their satilites," he said to his warlock body guard, "which is why the guardians are assembled for battle."
"you mean we are actually going to attack before reenforcemants arive?" the warlock replyed.
"Yes, if they are left to dicover the location of our base it will spell death to us all, but to destroy the garrison with the satalite equipment will by us heaps of time."
Turn 1
The farseer and the warlock exploited a hole in the imperial defence of senitries. Mind war caught one guardsman of guard and he fell down dead. Because of raido silence the farseer sent a telepathic message to find out haw the guardians were doing in the front line. He was dissapointed to find the guardians pressed out trying not to be seen.
The farseer killed another guardsman and advanced on left side of bunker.
THe guardians in the center of the table were finially caught and the alarms were raised.
The leman russ battle tank roared its engins to life and drove to get a good shooting position. In the bunker 14 lasgun shots and a melta gun were fired at the ever so carefull farseer who took no damage in the attack. Long ranged shooting claimed a couple of guardians.
Turn 2
The guardians advanced at full strength towards the closest IG squad and let loose with the few shots that were in range causing 4 casulities. The tank busting vipers came into view and gave hope to destroy the tank but the shots went wide.
The warlock decided that now was the time to unleash Destructor on the bunker. 15 troops got hit and 15 troops died in the flamer attack.
Return fire from the Leman Russ was deadly against the guardians and combined fire from the last remaining IG squad.
Turn 3
The Swooping hawk exarch landed but not where he intended. "This does not look like a battle field'' one aspect warrier said. Checking thier map they concluded that they had taken a very wrong turn and have landed in a peacefull town in the middle of nowere. They were fed and then detained by the local law enforcement. (Ie. they landed off the table).
The Guardians had already taken a pounding from the IG troops but now there was another thret in the form of an armoured fist squad. The trading of fire left every guardian squad below half strength and/or running.
With the objective in sight the warlocks and farssers witch blade destroied the bunker and then sounded a tactial retrete.
The jetbikes failed to show, the farseer needed them as rearguard for the retreating forces.
Turn 4
The IG general showed up along with his own body guards. armed with plasma guns and grenades they fired and then charged the farseer. Although wounded the farseer's witch blade cut deep in the IG general. The warlock slayed two body guards with his own pistol and witchblade combo.
Turn 5
Nothing happend at all.
Turn 6
The farseer skillfully fought his way to safety as did the warlock that was with him. and it was at that moment that the unmistakable scream of the jetbikes entered the table. All to late though.
End Game
"Do you know why the high councle has summoned you farseer? Do you know that you broke 4452 laws and commandments when you attacked without authorisation? The price paid was to high to deam the mission a success. And due to your failure your status as General will be removed from you and be given to your warlock body guard. You will also be sevearly punished."
