Anyone ever play any WH 40K computer or video games?

I've played Rites of War, or at least the demo, and it wasn't good... At all... Amongst the worst games I ever played, in fact. :)

I've heard of rites of war but never played it.They should make a 40k quakeish thing when are in a battle and kill SMs and are promoted eventually becoming a farseer or a PL.

Rites of War... Yep, got that.  For the life of me can't play the game.  Second mission you're up against darned vehicles and none of the weapons that you have access to are capable of taking them out.  <sigh>

Well, that's just me.  Maybe I just really bad at wargames... Or maybe I should read the rules? ;) ::)

Quake-ish game... I believe that there are people out there on the 'Net who are creating the code/whatever for this.

Other games... Well, I wish they would bring them out on other platforms other than PC.  I use my PC for work and it doesn't really have the capacity for games... The PS2, on the other hand... ;)

Dark shadows was pretty good, but it wasn't 40K it was fantasy, It was hard though because it was real time not turn based. Has anyone played the space hulk PC game.

GW has not yet made a "playable" game based on 40K.  I am not sure why given  the success of 40K.  Starcraft meets 40K ??  Mabye GW does not want to hurt sales of 40K.

rites of war is a thinkers game. i like it. you need to carefully plan what you are going to do not just blast in there. it is a good game. the cut scenes are AWESOME!

chaos gate, is cool too but i like rites of war better (Eldar!)

starcraft WAS going to be a 40k game, if it was, think of how big 40k would be!

Hey, I forgot about that one... Yes, I've got that game.  I rather enjoyed it, though the controls are a bit iffy on a laptop...

my idea: a series of rpg's, one based on all the races! this could be fun and then maybe link it with a strategy game ala starcraft but when you get farther in the rpg you get access to better units.

Played Rites of war and Chaos Gate.  Of the 2, chaos gate is much closer to 'true' 40k than rites was.  I was a little disappointed in Rites for that reason, I was hoping it would help with 40k strategy.  Instead it reminded me of a number of other hex map strategy games I've played.

Hey, Kage2020, they're called FIRE DRAGONS! They can totally destroy vehicles in Rites of War.

I've played chaos gate and it was decent, though the controls were pure fubar, and it was glitchy as hell... ad nauseum. anyway i like vortex grenades... also has anyone heard of Fallen Haven? that's pseudosimilar to 40k in a very abstract sense

The worst one was Rights of War. What a joke  >:(
