The 40kOnline Forum Awards 2009: Fluff Guru Nominations
« on: December 21, 2009, 01:07:31 PM »
The 40kOnline Forum Awards 2009.

See the above for the rules and specifics of the Forum Awards, and use the linked thread for general questions.

Make your nominations for the Fluff Guru here in this thread or through PMing me (though clearly title it so I can easily tell what it's about). The only limit is that you can not nominate the previous winner, which was in this case was Locarno. You can only nominate a single person for an award, but there is no limit to how many awards you can nominate someone for (whether the same member or a different one).

Oh, and people, please remember to use full usernames or link to the profile as I don't know every member of this site's nickname/acronym/shorthand/etc. etc. etc.

Nominees
  • Gornon [1]
  • Lachdonin [1]
  • Sir_Godspeed [1]
  • Koval [1]
  • Benis [1]
  • Kage [1]

I'll nominate Gornon I guess. Irandura wins it every other year so he might appriciate a break...

I've been impressed with Lachdonin's posts, particularly regarding Eldar background, so I shall nominate him.

I've only won it once, actually, and I'm not sure I've been around enough this year to even be in the running.

I am half-tempted, out of sheer perversity, to nominate Kage. Despite his total absence since April, I wonder how far reputation alone can carry one?

Yeah, Kage was the one who won it all the time before, and was one of the reasons (the other being Rasmus) that we created the "can't nominate the previous winner" rule.

Thanks for the nomination Hymirl.  :)

I'll nominate Sir_Godspeed.  He does a solid job on the forums, and he seems to make sense.  Plus, he usually seems to agree with me which is always a sign of a great mind.  8)

I would like to nominate Koval, he has been with us for about one year and I have always thought that he produces solid posts and has managed to become part of the standard group on the Warhammer Background forum. A great rookie who certainly deserves a nomination.

I'll reciprocate and nominate Benis, because he's very knowledgable in pretty much every field I've seen him tackle, his posts are clear and easy to follow when I'm drunk, and I've not seen him flame anyone like I nearly have

(That, and Irandrura Gornon already nominated Sir Godspeed)

No, I didn't. I know we look similar, but I and Gornon are in fact different people.

I just want to head over to the ASP, send him a PM, and see his reaction to being told he's won an award on a site he longer frequents. It would be amusing to say the least. ;D

I saw him on the DarkReign40K site's IRC chat... he was amused.

Given that I don't really sign on there either, or rarely do so until it has been re-visioned, I would have missed it there as well.  No worries, though--Hymirl had it covered. ;)

Nominations are now closed. I hand you all over to the Right-Honourable Poll-Master Scorn who will be sorting out the second half of the 40kOnline Forum Awards 2009 (so please direct any questions related to the polls towards him).
