Simple enough, which Chaos god would like to get high?

Well, the simple answer would be Slaanesh. Slaanesh is driven to excess, and his followers often are portrayed as hedonistic.

To go a bit further, Khorne is interested in besting others in combat. While certain stimulants might make a warrior more capable in combat, they wouldn't be testing their own might against another... they'd be testing their augmented abilities against another, and that doesn't prove their superiority, therefore Khorne would not want to use drugs.

Tzeentch is the changer of the ways, and is portrayed as a schemer. Depressants slow the mind, which isn't all that great if you're trying to outwit someone. Stimulants have a habit of clouding one's judgment, which again isn't that great if you're trying to outwit someone.

An argument could be made that Nurgle enjoys a certain disregard for unpleasant things, so he might be into depressants to further mellow himself. Stimulants tend to be, well, stimulating, which tends to make people feel "more alive". That's probably not his thing. I could see a Rastafarian-like appreciation for certain plants, owing to his general good cheer and seemingly easy going attitude.

That said, I'd have to say it's a no brainer to go with Slaanesh Higher highs, and lower lows, are pretty much his domain.

Actually, no. Khorne has no issue with pharmaceutical augmentation as long as it has a purpose. Gladiators, for instance, are more likely off their nut than not when it comes to spilling blood for their patrons. There are plenty of combat enhancing drugs that Khorne couldn't care less about as long as they're taken to further the spilling of blood, collecting skulls, etc. Using your line of argument, being equipped with a bloody great big beslubber off chain axe is cheating unless your opponent has one as well. Which, as we know, is not how Khorne thinks at all.

As you say, Slaanesh is the most obvious choice but all the others also do to a lesser extent. Since being inflected with a new disease or virus brings pleasure to Nurgle you could almost consider many pathogens to be recreational substances to them as well.

Fair enough...

Khorne [Not the followers... the god himself] wouldn't be interested in getting "High". He might want to take drugs to be a better combatant, but not for the sake of altered consciousness. Even then, I doubt the concept would occur to him. Why waste time taking drugs when there are mortals to rend into squishy paste? He doesn't exactly need help squashing mortals.

When it comes to Nurgle, the infliction of disease brings him pleasure, sure. However, eating a chocolate bar could also bring him pleasure, and that isn't getting high. I don't think the two are comparable.

Wrong comparison for Nurgle. A better example would be developing an alcohol tolerance, alcohol being a recreational substance, where you need bigger and better drinks to maintain the same sense of pleasure. Such as for Nurgle. Catching a common cold may be amusing for traditions sake but hardly the bees knees when it comes to pathogens. More pleasure from a new, stronger dreaded lurgy.

For Khorne the combat substances are recreational. Wasn't it frenzon, the frenzy drug, that the World Eaters were fond of? [needs Citation]. The Chaos Gods generally get their jollies from what their followers are doing. I think you're being overly literal if we're supposed to imagine Slaanesh itself spotting tar off a stove element.

I am going by the literal question that was asked. ;)

If we're instead trying to decide which god gets the greatest pleasure from what his followers are doing while the followers are doing drugs... I'll have to think about that.

It kinda depends on how you view the Gods. I'm in the more abstract Chaos-Gods-as-a-Force-of-Nature camp, but people with a more literal and concrete (more human-like) interpretation, where the gods are presented as somewhat similar to pre-Christian Pagan deities would be able to more easily envision a God that was interested in, or even capable in altering their mind/perception.

The Fantasy Flight Games books, such as Book of Excess for Slaanesh, plays both sides down the middle. You get the god drawing strength from their followers who (mostly) are lucky enough to be beneath notice while also having the opportunity for Slaanesh to pop out of their palace and stumble into you if you're (un)lucky enough to have gotten that far into their realm.

Ok, metaphysical nonsense incomming....

The Chaos Gods, as with just about everything in the Warp, are composed of the emotional, conscious and unconscious thoughts of mortal creatures. Because their existence is thus grounded in the mundane realities of the material universe, even if they and their own surroundings are not, i think it's safe to assume that they largely think and act in mostly mundane manners. This is what drives them to shape their realms in ways which are understandable to mortal minds.

Now, we also know from some sources on Chaos that the God and their Realm are actually one in the same. The Realms ebb and flow with the power of their patron, because they are themselves part of the massive nebulous entity that is said God.

If we then follow the assumption that the Gods shape their realms (Lets say their 'bodies') in accordance with an echo of the physical universe, it stands to reason that they then shape their avatar (their 'mind') in whatever form most suits their temperament. Thus, both the abstract nebulous and the "Evil villian" approach to the Gods are equally valid.

Given that, different types of narcotics are well within the purview of each god.
Remember, you can make yourself a Hero, but only others can make you a God.
