No picture, although several people have made miniatures of an "avatar of the Laughing god".

I'd imagine that he looks like a jester of some kind.

There are no pictures or accurate detailed desciptions. I know that he is depicted as "rolling laughter all about the walls, but no face could be seen" at one point, but that's about it.

Laughing god = Deceiver.

*sigh* Not again.
They are not the same. One is anathema to the other, as one is a being of the warp and one cannot stand the wap. Just because they trick people does not make them one and the same. That would make... Thor and Mars the same just because they are warrior-gods. They are clearly not.

Fluff wise, they certainly aren't the same, absolutely not the same.  But I think that he meant that the deceiver model might look like what Cegorach might be represented at.

Laughing god = Deceiver.
If you're saying you can use the Deciever model to make a Laughing God, then yes you can.
If you're saying that the Laughing God IS the Deciever, then you're flat wrong.

I imagine if he took physical form, he'd resemble one of his followers. An Eldar in motley with a mask of some description. Although given his nature as a trickster, I suppose he could really look like anything that suited his purposes at the time.

i have another question relating to that ^

how would some one be able to find him if he can look like anything. or is there no known method?

Of course, there is no such method. That is why he is still alive. If he had been "finable" Slaanesh would have found and devoured him allready. Caution, trickery and obfuscation has kept the Laughing God safe since the Fall. He will not expose himself openly, but act through agents at every turn, and within hte webway, hide in places not even Ahriman could think of looking.

The truth is now out... the Laughing God IS Arhiman the Sorceror's hat. FACT.

Less spammingly, given that the only way to become a Solitaire is to find and meet the Laughing God, he's got to be SOMEWHERE.

Why would the Laughing God need to have direct, physical existence? Rather, it seems to me, as Cegorach is identified with the Webway, for the Solitaire, location is immaterial.

I think all this talk of meeting the Laughing God is anthropomorphising him too much.  It's like having a relationship with the Christian God (or any other deity of choice) - you don't actually have to go out and meet him(her/it) to have a meaningful relationship.  I think giving a God a defined physical existence really... lowers them, for want of a better term.

Do Khorne Berzerkers go and meet Khorne? Is there a place you can find Khorne? Of course not. It's a god. The concept isn't really applicable, is it? What does Khorne look like? Again, it's a god. It's a matter of how mortals choose to depict it, because Khorne itself is a vortex of Warp energy, not a person.

Cegorach isn't exactly the same, because after the Fall, Cegorach 'fled to the Webway' and now can be theorised to be part of the Webway, incarnate in it (in a similar way to how Khaine is incarnate in certain physical objects in the Materium), but it remains true that Cegorach, as a god, doesn't really fit into these simplistic notions of place and appearance.

There is fluff to support that hte Solitaire turns into the solitaire by physical touch with the laughing deity. However, it is not about hte solitaire finding him, but about the laughing god allowing himself to be found. He picks and chooses from those that seek him, to whom to grant an audience, as it were.
