And we're back!
« on: February 22, 2012, 10:49:46 PM »
Ok...   I think I found the problem.
It looks like the Glacier and Glacier2 themes has some bad interactions with the system and the various mods that we use.
That's unfortunate, since they were nice themes with some nice features...   but that's how it is, I guess.

I may be playing around with some features in the next week or so, but we should be good to go now!

Oh.. final thing - You may notice that our blogs have gone away.   I have all the former data - I need to figure out how to get it into the new format, since the old system was outdated and no longer supported.

That's an impressively quick fix.  Thank you.

Just one question.  Will the list of options for the UserCP be made available by hovering the mouse over it as they used to be at a later date, or has that been disabled for the time being?

Which list is that?

I think Irisado meant the Forum profile, User settings and some other options that were easily accessible through that tab.

Yes, that's what I was referring to.

Before the crash, if you hover the mouse over User CP the list contained account settings, forum profile, and one other which I can't recall myself now, in addition to the bookmarks, which is currently there.  Having forum profile accessible in this manner is particularly useful in my opinion.

Good work on getting everything back up and running...

...but I seem to be having slow down and timeout issues again in a similar way to before these latest troubles.
Am I the only one?
Is there something intrinsically wrong with the current set of themes?

In the Who's Online area, what do the pirate flags mean?  Also, will the online notification (the green light that lets you know if they are logged in) in people's posts return?

That's still there for me (assuming you mean the one by your user name).  Are you seeing something different in its place?

There is a slight change of graphics on the pm bubble if the user is online (like a yellow-beige ball or something), you can also hover over the pm button to see if the user is online or not.

EDIT: the square you are referring to is not visible in the basic theme but other themes still has it. You can still see if a person is online through the pm quick button as mentioned though.

I see what Benis is referring to about the PM button.  If I look into a person's profile, I see an on/off line indicator.  Now that I know what to look for.  I'll be fine.

There is a slight increase in time in opening threads.  Nothing major, but its there.

unfortunately, the old system was decrepit and unsupported.

I will be trying to recover the blog CONTENTS form the old system... but this new one looks nice.

I do note that you need a minimum of 8-10 lines to make the entry look halfway decent. LOL!

Ah well, time to write a novel!

Thats the text in it?

No. Assuming I'm not a dumbass and you mean the little drop down like on 'Media' 'My Messages' etc.
