there, this one has more models...

I use the reapers and fire prism to shoot at the enemy (no really, I do) and draw them in.  Then WHAM!!! They get attacked by the banshees and Scrorps...limbs flying everywhere! HAHAHA! *cough* Um...and lets not forget the Avatar with his close-combat based court.  3 avengers who can only be hit on a 6 is just so irresistable.  Tanks will (hopefully) be dealt with by the prism and wraithlord.

nice plan but what if you go against someone who is very long ranged and will also be waiting for you to charge, exept they have ordinice shells not reapers, then you will be forced to charge and although the banshees can fleet of foot the scorpians cannot leaving you in one hell of a situation.  i would recommend taking out the wrathlord in favor of a wave serpent considering now you have a twin linked bright lance and something to carry your scorpians in you have a better shoot at getting into close combat and of shooting down tanks(i never trust a single shot weapon that isnt twinlinked).

Hmm...yes I see....my friend plays Tau and my other friend plays Imperial Guard, so this would be a problem...thanks.   I was thinking the reapers have a longer range than firewarriors, and the prism might be able to take out longer ranged guys like the suits and tanks...though thats a lot of dependency on the prism.  So I will change the wraithlord to a waveserpent for games against longer ranged guys, but keep it for marines and DE..that ok?

I like the look of this army, although if you plan to play in tournaments you might get dinged a few composistion points for having all of those reapers... sure they're troops for beil tan, but in the regular eldar codex they're heavy...
You're army also lacks mobility; something that should normally give you an advantage.  Replacing a wraithlord with a waveserpent is probably a good idea, it will give your opponent something else to worry about than the main part of the army.

Duely noted, chums, duely noted.

I know that Biel-Tan is supposed to be a fast army, and I made many army ideas with all aspect warriors and waveserpents, but truly, in my heart, I want an army that can just sit back and blast the enemy into a large, bean-shaped crater *wipes a tear away*  This might normally be reserved for Tau, but my friend plays Tau, and I didnt want to play them too.  Plus I have better fighters than the stupid Kroot  :P

I LOVE THIS MESSAGE BOARD-  other ones like www.dakkadakka.com , or infinity circut never post good armies, its 100% fluff, i like yer army alot, umm,  have both the scorps and the banchees in waveserpants if you can (i know thats a lot of points but its worth it.)  mabe limit your guardian squad to the minimum size.  (i know this gives them a bigger chance to fall back but, you could do with some more points, notmuch else to say really, you could drop one farseer give it spirit stones (or whatever there called) so he can cast 2 spells, which you could make them both guide) it might save you some more points, but if the farseer dies, there goes all yer spells, i like yer army ill post mine somtime when i complete it and mabe even win a game!

overall i'd say tats an excellent, but beware many will call that a cheesy army, even though it's just because they don't know how to counter that but o well to bad for them, i was even planning on going an army with 6 squads of Dark reapers with exarches with missles, 3 wraithlords, and 3 sqauds of 3 vypers ...but i'd figured that would cost me a fortune so i ditched that idea lol

Actually, I couldnt have one Farseer with spirit stones casting guide on two units, cause with spirit stones you can use another power, but it cant be the same power repeated.

I could replace the wraithlord with a wave serpent, as I said before, but I probably wouldnt give it to the banshees.  They get fleet of foot, and I wouldnt want to waste that.

If your into a shooty army, why not drop either the banshees or the scorpions for fire dragons, and drop the wraithlord  to get a waveserpent for the dragons.  I think they're the most effective tank killing unit in the game, and will give your army a powerful punch.

I just might do that, thank you very much.  Though I doubt I will drop the wraithlord...he's just too cool.  Someone at Games Workshop said I should cut it down to 2 squads of Reapers...I'm not so sure...they're so good, though they are costly.

If your really hooked for points, you might want to take out the fire prism.  I know you wont want to do this, but then you can give your farseers singing spears, fire dragons are also great against infantry, they ignor earmor saves and are powerfull, so dont just go for the tanks when u got them.  Id keep the wraithlord, and mabe get a warwalker if you drop the fire prism.  Other then the the army looks great. :)

yeah, you're right..I do not want to drop the prism  :D

I will probably field variations of this army at times, because playing with the same stuff every time would be boring...then I will also use my nids which I have, but decided I'm not gonna paint till I get my Eldar and paint those first.

One variation might look like this...tell me if its a big improvement from the first:

Death Rain Swordwind Army
5 Dark Reapers (Troops) @ 185 Pts
    Reaper Launcher
5 Dark Reapers (Troops) @ 185 Pts
    Reaper Launcher
5 Dark Reapers (Troops) @ 185 Pts
    Reaper Launcher
1 Fire Prism (Heavy Support) @ 145 Pts
    Linked Shuriken Catapults; Prism Cannon
    Crystal Targetting Matrix [30]
10 Striking Scorpions (Troops) @ 160 Pts
    Mandiblasters; Shuriken Pistol & CCW
1 Wraithlord (Heavy Support) @ 125 Pts
    Flamer (x2); Missile Launcher
1 Farseer (HQ) @ 72 Pts
CC Weapon (x1); Shuriken Pistol (x1)
    Guide [30]
1 Farseer (HQ) @ 72 Pts
CC Weapon (x1); Shuriken Pistol (x1)
    Guide [30]
2 Crew (Heavy Support) @ 50 Pts
    Shuriken Pistol & CCW (x2)
    1 Support Weapons @ [30] Pts
         D-Cannon
16 Guardian Defender Squad (Elites) @ 161 Pts
    Shuriken Catapult
    1 Warlock @ [33] Pts
CC Weapon (x1); Shuriken Pistol (x1)
         Conceal [20]
10 Striking Scorpions (Troops) @ 160 Pts
    Mandiblasters; Shuriken Pistol & CCW

wraithlord with missle launcher?  thats not used that often.  Id go with BL or SC though i can see why youd want a missle launcher.

Why does no one take a missile launcher on a wraithlord?  It's a good weapon, nice range and very versitile.

i don't see anything wrong with a missle launcher....i have a starcannon on mine but missle launcher has superior range..

again your army lacks the speed

i used to play sth very similar however only 2 reapers squad and  vipers, and 1 transport, and it really worked

if u really want your scorps to run in a bolter fire around, u might consider joining them with fortunate  ;)farseer
