Hello all,

I don't really get your list (sorry :(). You have a number of squads, and then at the bottom there is a list of squads. At first glance, I would say that the list on the bottom is a summary of what you wrote above that, but it isn't (as there is no other mention of redemptionists or a Sister squad without preacher).

Also remember that the Sisters of Battle troops choices don't have a rhino transport option.

Sorry I can't (yet) give you ant more advice, but I'm not sure what is, and what isn't in your army.

I'm sorry but SoB is at a real disadvantage against Necrons if they field a Lith and Veil.

Hello all,

I would hope that you play with enough terrain, because the only option you relly have against a monolith is to keep out of it's cannon's sight.
Hope to stall the game a few turns, and force him to come to you. Use your mobility to jump everything you have at one or two units a time, and decimate them (divina guidance is the key against Necrons).

If he has a Veil, just hope that he uses it too early in the game, and if he comes in an unfortunate position, drop everything you have at them.

Ow yeah, and hope that he gets the first turn, because when you want to stall him, he gets one less turn to act when he went first.

If possible, I would get some more models in squad 3 and 4. Or you could drop on of the squads and drop the redemptionists (as they will be the target of every anti-tank weapon out there), and get another small squad in immolator.
Not that the immolator is such a great vehicle, but this makes your entire army mounted, which means that his anti-infantry weapons will be less useful.

Good luck!

Thanks, good tips! I do want to keep the army mounted... although they can still glance rhinos because of that gauss weapon rule.
What about bulking the army up for now with Redemptionist squads? Walking meat shields but they can add some weight to an assault!

You've left out my favorite sisters unit - Seraphim.  They are much more effective than a rhino mounted squad, and you can normally get close to the same number of sisters for the same points as a squad plus rhino/preacher.  I personally like units of 6-8, sometimes with melta bombs and always with 2 being equiped with flamers.  With their hit and run ability they are more mobile and more dangerous than sisters in a rhino - more dangerous because they can leave the combat then return and lay 2 more flamer templates on the enemy before engaging in CC again.

The way to use redemptionists will vary depending on the enemy you fight.  If it is an opponent like eldar who pack many Ap3/Ap2 weapons then the redemptions are in front as a screen to your sisters.  If it is against an enemy like Necrons who have alot of lower Ap weapons, then use your sisters to screen the redemptions, and save the redemptionists for counter assault work.  I personally like a largish squad of 16-20 including a priest and 3-4 zealots.
The Tyranids are the most rapidly evolving race in the galaxy.  They are super-predators destined to hunt all others to extinction.
