Yes, in the final release of the game (Or if it is out where you are now) you will be able to turn off Blood.
You have to go to options and turn Blood to off, no big'e

In Realm of Runes
Yes, you can sail the seven seas
In Realm of Runes
Yes, you can put your mind at ease
In Realm of Runes
Come on now, people, make a stand
In Realm of Runes, in Realm of Runes
Can't you see we need a hand
In Realm of Runes
Come on, protect the warhammer land
In Realm of Runes
Come on and join your fellow race

to be slightly more specific.  Go to options -> Controls -> Blood Off or On -> Accept -> Restart Engine -> No blood.  Simple as that.

also the game is extremely bloody, to almost a sicking amount for those weaker built types.  One of the big gory times is when a Bloodthirster is summoned, now that is gory.

Or when ... someone attacks.

God I love the blood in Dow, though I must admit sometimes I'm surprised my troops aren't swimming at the end of a battle ...

Yeah, especially if it's a long one and chaos is involved, i still can't believe the amount of gore the summoning causes.

I have yet to see a bloodthirster summoned...sounds.. fun.   But yeah, watching an avatar going around playing stick a space marine on a stick, is pretty gory.

I never bothered with Painkiller, as every review i read gave it a REALLY crap score. By the way, i've never seen the part where the Bloodthirster pours the blood into his mouth. Should go watch it again.

Killa Kan picking up a Marine, buzzsawing him a few times, and pinching him in half takes the cake in my book. The Wraithlord boot-to-the-head isn't ery gory, but I was really surprised when I first saw it. Anybody see the Sargant/commander kill combo yet? Get your commander to attatch to a squad with a sargant (sarge has pistol/chainsword, commander has pistol/powersword) The commander will slash an ork across teh chest, the ork stands there stunned, and the sargant punches him with the butt of his chainsword (crack!). I've only seen it once ,there might be other finishing combos depending on which chracters you attatch to what squads to fight who.

Don't forget the good old Avatar of Khaela Mensha Khaine with his/her/it's picking up an enemy soldier in its Bloody Hand and squeezing the life juices out of it. Who knew people could have that much blood in them  :D

But yes the summoning of the Bloodthirster beats all.

what about dreads?
picking up an enemy, squeezing....flamin g....ouch.
zoom causes my graphics card to overheat, so I can't see some of the messier kill animations. I have to be happy with the larger ones.
I use chaos, so I see lots of blood....
even some of the bloodless kill animations are good, eg possessed.
btw, a parent turning off blood wouldn't stop a determined under-16 (ie me)
Buuuuurrrnnnn.....
