Space Hulk: Deathwing - 40k FPS
« on: March 5, 2015, 05:01:52 PM »
I couldn't find such a thread so here's one about the upcoming TERMINATOR FPS!!!

Older trailer
Shiny new trailer

Since "Space Marine", I've been waiting for another action packed 40k game and I'm pretty hyped about this one.

That looks very interesting.  I'll be watching closely.
So, what your saying is it's not your fault you look stupid by using words you don't get?
Flawless logic.

I saw that trailer long ago but it's still nice to see it again, weren't the develloper posting some stuff about this at some point ? i'm sure there was a thread like this. I will need to look into it.

I don't know about you but this trailer is giving me a whole bioshock feelling to it, with the slow music into traveling view. and as I listen to it agian i think it's a bit james bond like aswell.

I'm really wainting for this game aswell... i wanna see some gameplay

Maybe you're referring to this thread? It is not the same game - that's the (relatively new) Space Hulk remake.

Wow, looks really good!
Also slightly strangely, I really love the music for the newer trailer. It's got quite a weird feel to it, almost like a modern version of the music you used to get in the Spaghetti Westerns!  ;D

I figured I would pop in here to mention that I have preordered my copy of the game through steam and am eagerly awaiting the November release so I can purge the xenos in the name of the Lion.

Who else will be donning the mantle of the Unforgiven to layeth the royal smackdown on this alien scum?

I really liked it too, actually. Very suave, cool sound to it. Not perhaps orthodox 40k music, but fitting to a representation of a stoic last stand, if you know what I mean.

Still sad we're not going to see Space Marine 2 though.

The rights seem to be messed up. Not to the 40k license itself, obviously, they're handing them out like soup from a soup kitchen these days, but the rights to the game itself.

Also, apparently it didn't do so well, money-wise, even if it was critically praised.

Space Hulk: Deathwing - New trailer/BETA is coming! - YouTube

I love the video, I love the look of the gameplay, I love the Deathwing.  It's nothing but a win win win!  Although, I have to admit that I found the pronounciation of Belial's name a bit odd.  I have always pronounced the -ial the same way you would say vial.  So Bel-i-al instead of Bel-e-al.  But I digress...

Regardless, I think this deserves a fangirl "SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEE!!!"  lol

The real question is, will it be able to tear me away from Skyrim: Remastered? Only time will tell.

So far the reviews of the beta are mostly incoherent due to the sure nerd joy going on. It appears to be decent and that's from people I'm looking at only playing the campaign.

I'm downloading the beta right now.  If it helps, I can give a fair appraisal once I have gotten some game time in.  For now, I am going to spend time with the wife and paint some custodes while we wait for our pizza order.

Edit:  I got about 5 minutes of game play into the tutorial and I think I may have wet myself simply because of how beautiful the visuals are.  There was a minor issue with how a lamp on a skull servitor looked, but beyond that it is a beautiful game to look at!  So glad I upgraded my computer!

Have you found the barrel/container covered in purity ribbons? Whatever is in that, it's by the Emperor, pretty damn pure.
