Appears to be destined for a multiplatform release - PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

I am a happy bunny. :D

My friends might not be into GW that much anymore but games like this would be right up their alley!

For those that don't like links:
Quote
The game is a four player, cooperative shooter/brawler, a bit like Borderlands or Left 4 Dead, but in a fantasy medieval setting. Players take on the roll of different Empire soldiers, ranging from mad flame-slinging wizards, to a wizened Witch Hunter. There will be five available characters to choose from, each with unique abilities, characteristics and back story.

Gameplay will be mission based, with the local tavern acting as a headquarters between missions. Players return there to learn of new jobs and to replenish their stats and gear. Much of their tasks will involve delving into the underbelly of the Empire city or Ubersriek, which has been taken over by Skaven.

A flame slinging wizard sounds just like my type of character :D.  I hope that the spells are suitably impressive.  The trailer was a bit disappointing.  I wish that they had given a bit more away.  The description sounds very promising though.

I played a round of it on release day (after a colossal download followed by an immediate update patch that took four hours) and it was fun!  L4D quickly got boring for me and so would this game but if you like L4D you'll probably love Vermintide.  Great atmosphere, looks great, very easy to get in to.  There were no tips on what each class does during the selection screen but most nerds will get it: Imperial dude is a jack of all trades, Dwarf is tough but slow, the ranger shoots well, the pyro burns stuff.  I had fun bashing people with my dwarf shield and deflecting Ratling shots.

I want this game so bad.  Is it available on both Xbox and play Station?

I've seen quite a few videos of this now, and I like what I'm seeing.  This combined with Fallout 4 coming out soon means that I need a new PC to run them, but I have no money, so it will have to wait.

The characters look interesting and the melée combat looks very good, but the thing I'm most interested in is the Bright Wizard equipped with that staff and fire spells.  Skyrim disappointed me with its magic spells and casting system.  Vermintide looks to have created a wizard which I would like to play.  I hope that this proves to be the case.

Vermintide is up in the current HumbleBundle.  $5 gets you the game and DLC, plus a whole whack of other games (including Verdun, which I have heard good things about).

I am having a lot of fun playing this game, I recently got it. Is anyone else playing this? We could run some missions together.

I've put about 18 hours in the game so far, beta included. I absolutely love it, have a level 23 Bright Wizard (Unchained is sooo cool ;D). Did have the slayer class unlocked in the closed beta, but our data didn't transfer when open beta opened up. I'm taking a break at the moment though, only so many rats and plague zombies I can kill before my hand starts getting tired lol.

EDIT: I think I'm level 23 with Sienna. Might be 19 or something, will check!

Clearly, I do not have a great memory: I'm level 15 with Sienna :P :-[.

How does the game compare to the first one?  I picked up Vermintide from a HumbleBundle.  Expecting something like Left 4 Dead, I was sorely disappointed with the gameplay.
