I tried to add myself on my blogspot and it failed first time but now it is working. Not sure if it was a blogspot kink or what?!
I think its something you have to do in the settling. I had a play around and now people can add me and I can add people.

I'm painting my vehicles red as an all bronze army would be just too blingy in my eyes. Watch my blog for updates this weekend!

It is an option to go red.. will have to pullout my IA. I have always messed with schemes and aesthetics making up my own Chapters and stuff but with these guys the point is to try and do something accurately so if they are Bronze I will probably go Bronze for the vehicles... worryingly though I am quite aware other hobbyists have burnt out on the Minotaurs for that exact reason.

Having said that, I do have a plan to bring in some allies to represent the presence of the High Lords so that would give me a pretty varied break from the Bronze!

Precisly my point, don't want to burn out from bronze glare!

For accuracy the vehicles are a mucky yellow, thin a dull non metalic bronze. Looks good in the book but I can't get it to work. The gorinsh red will hook up witht the red trimmings I'm doing on shouldderpads, leather straps and gun casings, I hope  ???

I'm also goiing to be dipping into the GK codex for High Lord agent allies. As a complete contrast I'm thinking of going Deathwatch black for these guys.

Great minds think alike and all that  ;)

I was thinking of Coteaz to represent the Inquisition then some Death Cults as the troops to represent the Assassins (not really Officio Assasinorium but I need the 1 elite slot for the next unit) and then an elite inquisitor as the Mechanicus so basically a Magos with Servitors from there all that is left to take is maybe another troop or fast/heavy but cannot think of anything I could use. These would then give very differnt pallettes for each unit but tied together by the sea of Bronze  ;D

Some better pics to show off the armour:

Hopefully I shall have one of these guys totally finished soon!

Without any other colours, they look eerily like statues, rather then super human weapons of Mass Destruction. :D
What else are you planning on doing with the bases, once the painting is finished?

robo
hug cover, shoot the big ones, and cripple the fast ones. if those cant be achieved, kill em all.  8)

Cheers robo, the statue look was something I was going for these guys are epic heroes!

The bases might et some more lamented parts but I think it will be an urban basing scheme as it should help te armour colour pop.

OK So with kind permission from M4rt0k himself I'm jumping on this bandwagon blogging the progress of my Minotaurs.
The idea is we both take a Minotaur army to Vanquish in Apr.

First thing for me is to have a full and proper read of the tourne rules pack and decide what army I'm going to take. Forgeworld units are allowed (max 2) So I'll likely stick to Codex: Space Marines.

Watch this space for updates, lists and pics!

Yeah, I noticed some of the pictures have gone astray...

Working on my list now. Looks Like I'm going to be making a pretty big order with Forgeworld  :-\
So here it is...

HQ
Chaplain (Ivanus Enkomi model)
meltabombs; digital weapons; jump pack

Elites
N/A  :o

Troops
10 Tac marines
Missile launcher; Plasma gun
Sgt. Power weapon; plasma pistol
Razorback; T/L assault cannon

10 Tac marines
Missile launcher; Plasma gun
Sgt. Power weapon; plasma pistol
Razorback; T/L assault cannon

Fast Attack
7 Assault Marines; 2 x plasma pistols
Sgt. plasma pistol; power weapon; melta bombs

Stormtalon Gunship;
typhoon missile launcher

Stormtalon Gunship;

Heavy Support
Predator Executioner
Lascannon sponsons

Mortis pattern Contemptor Dreadnought
2 x Kheres pattern assault cannons

Fortifications
Agis defence line; Quad gun

Total: 1746

Not exactly optimised but will (hopefully) look awesome on the battlefield.  8)
So unless I've missed something big, this is the army I'll be working on paint wise from now on.

Very nice. I think mine shall be heavily troop led but the idea of Contemptors with Kheres is really latching on now..... but I also want to do one with a spear and a shield!!! Not sure how it would be of any use but it would look cool! lol

I always go for battlefield aesthetics rather than game efficiency.
I may lose the game but I go down in style  8)

My latest efforts. The armoured support element of my Minotaurs.   I'm beginning to realise I'm going to need an airbrush!

Nuts... I am falling behind here I feel...

Update!

This guy will be sergeant for either an Assault squad or Vanguard. Please give me some critique as i know the spear and general posing is off and could do with working out how to fix that.

I just haven't done anything 40k'ish for a while so have a spring in my step.
I'm still working on the Executioner as you can see. All I have left to do is some green stuff filling to the back of the turret and the cupola.

don't think I can post the stats, but you may be able to find them here.

The sgt is good but like you said the posture could be improved if your willing to cut him to bits. at the moment he looks like he's gesturing rather than throwing the spear.  If he was leaning forward a little more and 'reaching' a bit more with the spear.

I think the spear arm should be further back and the shield arm further forward if you get what I mean.

Everyone seems to be going down the route of power-armour-swarms so this little beauty should do well.   I see you're taking a Dreadknight. I recon I can take one down per turn with this guy
