yeah, saw same thing a couple of months ago, pissed pissed, my current MMo is slowly dying, I want 1 good mmo to replace, a 40k mmo is the perfect candidate, I've been looking forward to this bad boy for years anyway, since the trailer was shown at the E3 several years ago. Kind of reminds me of Space Marine, except that the game is already out (still enjoying it a lot with my friends, the online multiplayer mode)

Its official It's DEAD!
Well not entirely the game will still be made but it is no longer a MMO its a single player with multiplayer components now. so something akin to Space Marine will be my guess read below.

Yah, this does make me sad. It also makes me happy though. Once they announced 2 faction gameplay and hinted at archtypes I was worried about another WoW clone. I would rather them not do it at all than screw it up by making Warhammer

That said, converting it to a single player w/ multi-player support seems strange. I had figured at least an online lobby game (like WoT or LoL) but I guess that is not in THQ's ever dwindling budget. Again, sad about being promised an amazing game, and then informed it was just gonna be another Space Marine. I understand cutting losses and moving on, but this is like being promised a turkey/ham dinner (with all the "fixens") but ending up with a McDouble, small fry, and no drink.

PS. Still waiting on a Battle Fleet Gothic game. . . (And I think I'm gonna be waiting long enough to make it myself.)

I'll never lose hope for a 40k mmo, it's just so logical having one, I don't even care how bad it is, as long as I got my lil eldar guy, preferably dakr eldar, but eldar is good too, I can move it around, kill some stuff and I'm all happy.
I don't mind having more single player 40k games, but I really want an mmo.
I wish they hadn't spend so much time and money in crappy DOW 2 games, I got em all, but they're so crappy. Those games were like girl you only have sex with one time. It's awesome, you look forward to it, you enjoy playing it, but it's over pretty fast and then you just forget about it and don't care anymore.
I still play Space marine multiplayer pretty regularly, enjoy it a lot, though I wish I was playing the mmo and was using an eldar, it's the closest I can get.
I also still play DOW games, in insane mode only, it's pretty fun ^^.
