Slowly building predators, going to get a few more done to make a batch to spraypaint and then start painting. This project isn't a rush!
Wow, I thought I was looking at 28 mm models until I saw the second picture!
Model making has come a long way since the 90s.
They're absurdly multipart. 4 pieces for hull, all 4 exhaust pipes are separate, hatch options to choose from.
Its an amusing quirk that most upgrades/options are free such as autocannon or twin las on the predator (obviously twin las).
But the rhino has to pay a couple of points to by a havoc launcher or pintle mount multimelta. Clearly worried about OP Rhinos! But nothing else in the marine list pays for an upgrade...
Those are stark differences without a doubt. I just hope that they will expand the range beyond Space Marines. I am not overly optimistic about that at the moment though. I look forward to seeing how you are going to paint the new models.
A 'Legions Xenos' suppliment with Orks and Eldar would be so good. This technology used to make sleek eldar stuff that the old metal never quite captured, or a sprue of ork battlewagon parts you could build in multiple combinations. It would work.
Frankly to me it really feels GW have done everything wrong they possibly can with this release. Typos in the rulebook, Errata published for absurdly OP Warp Missiles on the Monday after release. And leaving out classic units like the Land Raider.... then sticking to only marine v marines in Heresy? Its the most boring scenario in all of 40K as far as I'm concerned.
