Nice, I especially like the face - he looks almost sly, a thinker - fitting for a Librarian.

That being said, do you intend to tweak him to fit more into the Chapter theme? I know that Librarians are supposed to be entirely blue, but I've always thought that have some trim of partial cover in the colour of the Chapter makes them fit more easily in. Especially considering that from what I can see, both his cables and his tabard/loincloth are in a different colour to that of the Chapter Master.

Good question Godspeed.

My intent is to make him quite Libby, that is, blue, but then again, he is a Master Librarian, leader of all libbys in the entire Chapter... The blue is done because Im first making sure all the underlmying materials are correct. Since Im handmaking/making some of the details up as I go... better safe then sorry...

Since some people on other forums voiced concerns about anatomy.

I use a standard GW "10-head(Heroic)" anatomy. That is, normal humans are roughly eight heads tall, to make it more heroic, painters usually make the humans nine heads tall, GW (and me) make the spacemarines ten heads tall.

As you can see, this image shows the anatomy of the Sar in red, and next to it you can see nine head-circles on top of eachother (one is below the image, cropped out if you will). The only thing that looks odd about the image, anatomy-wise is the leg-armour, because it is bent differently then how the leg would go, and then only by a minute difference. These are things that I fix as I go.

With Sosol, the terminator, there is a similar thing going on, though the terminator armour was never anatomically correct. The arms just wont fit. Therefore I favour a point of view where the ams of a terminator armour is part mechanical (like in the teaser-trailer fro Starcraft2) and that the legs have the actual feet of the SM before the foot of the armour begins.

Hopefully this helps a little.

I see, interesting to see the reasoning that goes into this. I personally rarely have problem with Heroic anatomy, as I've always viewed Astartes physiology/physique to be quite different from normal human. Barrel-chested, hands comparatively larger and heads comparatively smaller, etc.

Honestly, the only thing I find a bit off in the picture, is that the sword appears a bit too realistic. Almost flimsy in the gloved hands of the giant man. :P

Looks great, and though its true that the proportions look a bit odd, your method proves its justified. The thing that most stands out for me atm is the extremely short handle on the sword, but I imagine that's simply one of those things your leaving for later.

cheers guys, yeah pommel is not completed yet? Im leaving that for a little later, seeing as there will come a prometheum-flame out of the entire handle-guard and lick the blade to the top... It's just one of those things you want to do last... ,)

So, the Blood Angel has a "classical youngling" style hair cut? I like it, nice detail. :P

Sorry for the lengthy time for posting anything.
Truth is I have been preparing for a conventin in Gent, Belgium, called FACTS.
I will be there, and if you are around, come up, have a chat, look at my art and stuff. I got invited by the organizers (instead of having to buy a table like I thought I had to) along with names like Adi Gradov (Iron Man + Iron Man movies) and Clint Langley (You've seen his work if youve read Slaine, or Nemesis and other BL books he put his art on the front for..)
I'll be doing sketches and sell stuff like anyone else but just come  say hi and I'll be happy to chat with you!
Oh and I also made a poster of the FACTS mascot, Faxxa, for this year, by request of the organizers.
More info on the way it looks (sort of) can be found here: http://www.facts.be/2011/f-a-c-t-s-2010-road-movie/ (though thats from last year and its going to be a little bigger bigger this year).

Updates of images are coming along, just busy with talking to printers atm. Looking at popping in some more updates newt week, after printers been arranged.
I'm working on the background for the terminator and spacemarine I put up earlier in this topic, and I begun the "counter image" showing what they are looking at aswell...

F.A.C.T.S. was amazing.
I sat next to Adi Granov, furthest out on one side of the table.
From left to right was:
Me, Adi Granov, Barry Kitson (SpiderMan UK, AD 2000 etc etc), in memoriam for Wim Oosterveer (Dutch comic artist that died in a motorcycle accident a couple of weeks before he was due to appear at FACTS), Romano Molenaar (Marvel and other stuff), Aleksi Briclot (Magic the Gathering, World of Warcraft), Nicholas Bournay (French comic artist) Keu Cha (Incredible Hulk, Hex), Aleksa Gajic (various things), Steve Dupre, LECTRR och ADAM (Belgian comicbook artists), Clint Langley (nuff said!).

These are Lunchsketches I made during the convention, they can be aqcuired since I still posess them. Just PM if your interested.

This is the first run of a second illustration in the Ahadi series.

I have added a little digital white to this for clarity on the computerscreen, but this is just pass two of the pen-and-paper illustration I'm drawing.
Once I'm done with the pen and paper illustration It'll be available through my website (see sig) and I will paint it digitally as well.

But for now:

2 passes

Looking good. I was wondering when you'd make another post. Absolutely love Angron. More Chaos!
