Yeah, that was why I had a hard time calling him out on this stuff, he was a really nice guy so I assumed he knew what he was doing. Which was why I constantly gave him the benefit of the doubt.
Though if I was playing his friend I would be calling BS left and right.
There's a difference between a nice guy and a smooth talker using his charms to get his opponent to let him bend and break the rules. I've got a friend who's quite the talker, and although he doesn't play 40k, it's amazing what people let him get away with in other pursuits.
