Athaga Mor Craftworld Twin Seers
« on: February 14, 2002, 09:01:30 PM »
First, I'm going to tell you you are going to think this is rediculus
at best; at least at first. Some of you may think it is a fresh new
idea and try it yourselves. Others will still be against it
completely even at the end of this. I expect both... do as you
like...stay respectful, i'm sharing an idea.

The "Waring Twins" of Athaga Mor.

During the last phase of the Albredile Three Moon cycle, two twins
were born. Both twins being unusualy perceptive, though completely
blind, were found abandoned on a small, gravly moon on the edge of
Alaitoc space by a pair of those who had long lived the way of the
Outcasts. Since then those two twins have grown. Their bodies as a
fit as any other's, save their eyes, however, their mind for outreach
the capacities of even some of our races farseers. They have the
ability to read the warp - some say as well as Eldrad, others say
better and have predicted a great death in our race. There are those
who say a plague is coming to further scatter us and there are those
who claim that Chaos will finally finish off what is left of its
creator. But this is old news...

About the time the Flicci Star was eclipsed by last year, the twins
left their school pronouncing they could be taught no further. On
the moon, the twins found nothing of the past but claimed to have
found something of the future - a prophecy, if you will. They said
that "there would swell a great knot on the old tree and that that
knot would eventually swell till it would weigh down its branch and
break it from the tree. From that branch would grow new life." The
twins then spread their prophecy to those they came in contact with.
Masses numbering from tens to thousands have since gathered behind to
support the twins, using their moon as a "maiden world" to expand
from. They have also constructed a small craftworld for travelling
short distances - it should be noted that those who have witnessed
this ship say that it can in no way transport the whole of the army.

Kreshan Fialadenash - scout of Biel Tan
-enroute to further discover possible ally. will send again.

HQ
The "Warring Twins" of Athaga Mor........260 pts.
-count as a single HQ option
-manditory bodyguard of 2 warlocks must be taken (1 for ea. twin)
-cannot move more than 6" away from assign twin. (including cc.)
-the remainder of the warlock bodyguard is fanned out to be
included in each unit of those which can include a warlock.
(i.e. guardians, jetbikes, wraithguard) The maximum number
of warlocks is dependant of the number of these units.
(Max. of 1 warlock/unit and only 1 warlock/twin.)
-both or a single twin(s) and his bodyguard may be mounted in a
wave serpent. +110pts (twins may be any distance from each other
on the battle field)

Included in cost:
-2 ghosthelms
-2 spirit stones
-Mindwar
-Eldanesh's Blood
-may not take guide (lack of sight)

Optional:
-r.o. ward (20pts.) (includes both twins)
-r.o. witnessing (10pts.) (includes both twins)
-Fortune (40 points) (includes both twins)
-Eldritch's Storm (70pts.) (both twins)

Psychic Rules:
-The twins are adept at using the ward for powers and predicting.
They are in a sense cunductors of the warp. Because of there lack of
sight they are limited. When using ANY, and I mean ANY, power the
power is used from the warlocks. The power CANNOT be used for the
Farseer Twins! This includes All of the powers.
-Powers: Mindwar and Eldritch's Storm both count as a single power
use for both twins (they both can use two because of spirit stones.)
-Powers: Fortune and Eldanesh's blood can be used as a single
power for an individual twin. (i.e. they can cast on different units)
-Ghosthelm, r.o. warding, and r.o. witnessing are used by the
twins themselves-individually)

Gameplay Rules:
-If one twin dies, the others leadership will drop to 5. This is
due to mourning the death of the other twin causing less
concentration on the battle - THEY ARE YOUNG! Also, Mindwar and
Eldritch's Storm are rendered useless.
-If the twins spread out farther than 18", their leadership drops
to 7 - they rely on each other's mental links to the warp to use the
warp at the level they do. The link weakens(does not disapear) with
distance.
-When/If all warlocks are killed:
-roll 1D6: 1-3 the twins will wonder the battlefield at
6" per turn (use scatter die)
-when figuring victory pts., ea/130pts
4-6 the twins successfully use the warp to
guide them out of the battlefield
-remove. no pts. awarded-not defeated

Finally...Eldanesh's Blood
-After Khain slew Eldanesh, the blood essence of the god spilled
into the warp. Its color stained the third moon of the "crone World"
red and its essence permeated the warp. The twins may channel that
essence around their warriors. The sight of the blood essence of a
god, whether recognized or not, makes the stomach queezy and the soul
uneasy. Nothing is immune to the effects of looking at it. The
twins may cast this on units, however, not on themselves. The
targeted units must be within 6" of a warlock to be able to cast on
them. Any enemy unit outside of 12" attempting to fire at an
effected unit has their BS dropped to 3. Firing or assaulting
withing 12" is uneffected by the blood essence.

So there it is. I think I've got it all there. Some of you may like
to try it. I know it's a lot of rules - but there more common sense
than anything else. I tried hard to make it cost appropriately for
its effectiveness - I hear enough complaining about wraithlords. It
may appear like an offense slaughter machine, but it can be shut down
quickly too. Gimme some feed back. Sorry for the length -I tried to
be short.

I know there are holes.
