Retreats are done. The Russians scuttle to Ankara while both English units hoist down the flag for the last time and, with nary a tremble of their stiff upper-lips, march off into the sunset. Thanks for playing Dizz and for being a sport even after it was obvious that you were doomed.

Now we are four and the game is very close indeed. Russia has a very slight lead over France and Austria but Germany is resurgent and could still spoil the plans of much mightier nations.

All of this means that the orders for the Fall 1911 turn are due by Midnight GMT on Thursday 2nd June.

Thanks all.
It was a good game, and fun despite having to struggle after the early stab.

Thanks Iain for hosting.
Good luck for the rest of the game.

If there is more than one retreat you should PM it to me as they are supposed to be secret. In this case it doesn't matter much but in some cases there may be multiple retreats that could all potentially trip over each other or may otherwise influence someone else's retreat decision.

Retreats are sorted in an impressively quick manner so here is the map. No big surprises, everyone takes the only retreat option open to them.

Here's the map:

And here are the builds:

Austria:   Supp 11 Unit  8 Build  3
France:    Supp  8 Unit  8 Build  0
Germany:   Supp  5 Unit  4 Build  1
Russia:    Supp 10 Unit 10 Build  0

The last English bastion submits to the Tzarist oppressors as expected. Austria leapfrogs Russia as the leader of the (not very) Free World, France keeps the status quo and Germany continues to flourish at the expense of the English possessions in the Low Countries.

A Yorkshire Supports F Wales - Liverpool

Resulting in:

We get three retreats from all of that:

French F Liverpool can retreat to Irish Sea or Clyde or it may disband.
French F London can retreat to Wales or it may disband.
Russian A Sevastopol can retreat to Moscow or it may disband.

Once we have those retreats in we can go to builds.

Edit: Russia and France are the only countries with adjustments this year so when you send me your retreat orders, you may as well give your build orders too - France will get one build and Russia gets to disband one unit assuming all retreats move rather than disband.

Alrighty, the French fleets hang on grimly to their British footholds by skirting around the coast to Wales and Clyde while the Russian army in Sevastopol heads back to Moscow.

In the winter, the Russian army in Armenia heads off into the Arabian Peninsula never to be seen again while France unveils a shiny new Fleet in Brest.

Here's the map after all builds and retreats:

For those of you keeping score at home the current status is as follows:

Austria keeps its status as Top Nation with 11 centres. France steals a centre from Austria who gains one at Russia's expense leaving both France and Russia at parity with 9 centres each and Germany remains the tail end charlie with 5 centres.

This means that the orders for Spring 1913 are due by Midnight GMT on Wednesday 15th June

We have retreats now. The units with only one option took it, the fleet in Smyrna disbanded and the army in Burgundy headed back to Marseilles.

Here's the map:

Orders for the Fall 1913 turn are thus due by Midnight GMT on Sunday 19th June.

Thanks for all getting your orders in without too much nagging. There's quite a lot happening this turn, some crossed wires or changed plans and no-one gets what they expected.

Austria:
F Albania - Adriatic Sea
A Ankara - Armenia
F Black Sea Supports A Sevastopol
A Bohemia Supports A Budapest - Galicia
A Budapest - Galicia
A Galicia - Ukraine
A Rumania Supports A Galicia - Ukraine
A Sevastopol Supports A Galicia - Ukraine
A Silesia - Warsaw (*Fails*)
F Smyrna Hold
A Tyrolia Supports A Bohemia

France:
F Clyde Supports F Irish Sea - Liverpool
F English Channel - North Sea (*Fails*)
F Irish Sea - Liverpool (*Fails*)
A Marseilles - Burgundy
F North Atlantic Ocean - Norwegian Sea (*Fails*)
A Paris Supports A Marseilles - Burgundy
F Picardy - Belgium (*Bounce*)
F Rome - Tuscany

Germany:
A Belgium - Picardy (*Fails*)
A Berlin Supports A Munich
A Burgundy Supports A Belgium - Picardy (*Dislodged*)
A Munich Supports A Prussia - Silesia (*Void*)
A Ruhr - Belgium (*Bounce*)

Russia:
F Liverpool Hold
A Moscow - Livonia
F North Sea - London (*Bounce*)
F Norwegian Sea - North Atlantic Ocean (*Fails*)
A Prussia Supports A Warsaw
A Ukraine - Moscow
F Wales - London (*Bounce*)
A Warsaw Supports A Ukraine - Moscow (*Cut*)
A Yorkshire Supports F Liverpool

Resulting in:

One retreat after all of that:
German A Burgundy can retreat to Gascony or it may disband.

Once that is sorted out it's a relatively quiet build phase:

Austria:   Supp 12 Unit 11 Build  1
France:    Supp  8 Unit  8 Build  0
Germany:   Supp  5 Unit  5 Build  0 (unless they disband the army in Burgundy in which case they will have one build)
Russia:    Supp  9 Unit  9 Build  0

So Austria pulls out more of a lead at the top, inching ever closer to a solo win, France slips back slightly while Russia and Germany remain as they were last year.
