Topic: What Colour Is Kyrptonite?

My mum wants to know for a competition, thought I'd ask here.

Green, but there is also Red kryptonite which causes superman to mutate when near it (he returns to normal after). If we are talking about the real thing I have no idea.

There is no real thing, closest by name is krypton but not kryptonite.  Green Kryptonite makes superman human physically (see also weak), red kryptonite makes him human metanlly (see also evil)

I thought it made him mutate horribly and painfully. Seeing as it was Batman's way of neutralizing him it wouldn't make sense to make him evil. It's probably done both depending which book you read.

I was referring to the TV series(es), where he acts like he's in a lot of pain at the time anyway, make of that what you will though.
