Let there be BUGS
« on: October 29, 2017, 04:18:24 PM »
GW original all female army is back and looking meaner than ever!

That's right, I am talking about nids.
https://spikeybits.com/2017/10/gw-releasing-all-female-army-next-month-satire.html

Nids are up for pre-order next weekend, and already the first teaser of a hive world trait (Of which they get a whooping 7!) sounds pretty nice.

Quote
All the adaptions have been designed to be fun, thematic, and powerful; Hydra, for example, can re-roll hits in close combat against units they outnumber (which, with Tyranids, shouldn’t be too tricky!).

So, what your saying is it's not your fault you look stupid by using words you don't get?
Flawless logic.

You have to love the smell of science in the morning. It smells of learning.... or perhaps a gas leak.

A few interesting stratagems. Especially like the one about eating character brains to gain command points.

There is no reason you'd ever not use the feeder tendrils stratagem.

Overall, Tyranids are going to be a thing after this book drops. I don't know how many Tyranid players are here, but they'll like this book.

Also, Iron Warriors and Imperial Fist players rejoice, if they play against that 'always in cover' hive fleet!

I am foreseeing a lot of 30 man Hormi squads to try and take advantage of the strat where you can do mortal wounds on 6's in CC. Have a friend who runs assault marines, and slamming a squad like that into them.... that is gonna get nasty quick.

Find it interesting that the Eldar are now so strong psychically, and Nids seem to be pretty good as a counter to them... Soul hunger is just mean - especially because Peril = failing the test

I am so happy about the new Tyranid codex. They are my favorite army to play against BAR NONE. I'm really, really, really hoping I see more Tyranid players in my area. You get to kill lots of stuff, fight in melee, have great shoot outs (especially with stuff like the Exocrine), try out out maneuever Lictors and Genestealers, and have epic duels with with their character bugs like the Tyrants, Broodlords etc.

I'm so stoked they look so strong.

I see GW have the Broodlord under "HQ" in the webstore, and it's in a new bundle; is it a HQ/Warlord option again?

Yup, it seems the new codex is reminiscent of a couple of the old codices. Nid-Zilla in full effect.
