Hey lads ( hope this one doesn't get moved too ) hahaha...

Here is my old account ( could no longer access it for some reason ) with some things here that may prove to be of interest to you. Although I was largely focused on Eldar at that point, I think it may whet you palette to so say as to see what my Ork army may have in store !!! 

I have come a long way in painting and modeling since then. Hope there may be something useful amidst the clutter.

Ok...  That's really funny...  I am currently building an Eldar army I got in a trade and I was using your link there as a reference for a lot of my painting!  if I can help you in an way with you orks, Just ask...  I'm a rusty ork master! lol

Happy to help out if you have any questions as well. I am progressing from the 'clean' side of painting to more of a weathered, beat up and authentic looking force. I will be doing up some test models soon I suppose and would love your input

Well...  I can give you my rust formula...

1.  Spray black
2.  Dry brush blood red (or equivalent if you are not using GW paints)
3.  Dry brush Blazing Orange, really light on this step...
4.  Dry brush any yellow...  Be very light... you just want to give it that tarnished looks, where the rust yellows in decay...
5.  Put some chainmail or bolter on to have some freshly knicked metal around the edges...
6.  Use some brown washes to wash out the bright metal and shadow the crevasses...

I will be using similar techniques for the Ork vehicles + weaponry, I will have a lot more tools at my disposal this time, so I hope to produce something amazing

Now that is strange...  Usually (for as long as the board has been WoTW) it is eldar players defecting to orks, now we have an ork player defecting to eldar.
