A long Time A go in a galaxy far far away:
A week earlier:
X-wing Alliance Cutscene: Azzameens Elude Imperial Capture

Quick GM note:  first few updates will be small as i grow to learn the characters. Please bare with me, the game (and plot) will get better ;)

2.5 ABY
Roche asteroid  system
Outlier sector

The first thing Xall noticed coming out of hyperspace was that the countdown timer still had 2 minutes left to go. The second thing he noticed was the giant triangle shape of an imperial star destroyer and a smaller interdictor class cruiser above left of the Syned Dawns cockpit and the squadron of TIEs swarming towards them. Syned Dawns crew, once of the proud Twin Suns Shipping company was now on the run and considered outlaws by the Empire. This run into the Roche system however was supposed to have been an easy one. Last contacted on Garqi by a unknown party, the 5 member crew had taken on a contract to deliver supplies to a verpine colony starting up in the outlier part of the system. Xall sitting in the forward pilot’s seat noted that the imperial were already trying to hail them as per imperial procedure. This run was starting to get interesting….
Sitting behind Xall in the copilot’s seat was a human male.

Das Ferrell, aged 36 standard galactic years and of Corellia.  Noting that the Fallen in front of him was changing colors from the nature green to red, Ferrell could tell Xall was not in a good mood.  It was then he noted the Imperial star destroyer and interdictor just not off the ships port side. Swearing to himself in Corellian he started the warm up procedures on the two turrets that the ship had as defense and started plotting courses out of the system. The interdictor’s captain was smart having already set itself in a position so that a jump into the Roche system would be near impossible or suicidal. Having been former imperial army, Ferrell noted that this was a blocking move meant to trap the ship they wanted to detain so that the TIEs could overwhelm them and eventually force them to surrender….
In the back, the sudden revision into real space from hyperspace awoke

Sho'ana Lanii from her sleep in her cabin.  The screaming alarms as well as the shout from the hallway sound serious and as she got up, she felt the ship shake as it went into a sudden maneuver.  Quickly getting dressed, she started towards the door to her cabin and got out into the hallway. In the back she could hear Fal moving around the ship by the clunck on the deck of his boots,  and out of the corner of her eye she noted Sael looking half asleep coming out of his cabin full of blasters and rifles looking pissed off, Whatever she was gonna due, she knew she needed to do it fast….

Fal meanwhile had been working on his pet project (player’s choice) in his cabin when the ship had dropped out of hyperspace. Noting that the jump should have lasted longer he headed up to the cockpit to complain to that fallen Xall about his piloting skills. He had only gotten to the main cabin when the laser fire hit the ship and he felt the ship go into sudden maneuvers. It was then he started smelling smoke, something was burning in the back near the engine room…..

Sael too had been asleep when  the ship first dropped out of hyperspace. It wasn’t until the laser fire had first hit the ship that he had woken up and rushed to his door only to see  Lanii standing there looking at him with concern as he felt the ship go into a sudden dive and the strong smell of smoke coming from the engine room……

Ok so quick recap. Ferrel and Xall are in the cockpit. They have spotted a interdictor and a star destoryer launching TIES against them. Lanii is in the main hallway of the ship, she has spotted Sael across the way from her. They can feel the ship doing maneuvers

Fal is near the cockpit, He can smell smoking coming from where the first of the TIEs lasers have hit the Dawn. Damage to the ship is unknown so far.

"amphetamine parrot, amphetamine parrot, amphetamine parrot" Xall yelled as he punched the ship to full power and pulled at the controls throwing a few evasive maneuvers.

He seemed to recall that these damn interdictors projected a cone shaped gravitational anomaly the prevented the use of hyperdrives.

"Das," he said "can you get a reading on whatever field that thing is putting out? I think if we can get behind it we might be able to bug out of here."

With that he started concentrating on dodging and headed at an angled to the interdictor, his skin turning a shade of deep blue showing his concentration.

ooc: I'm assuming Fal didn't see the Imperial ships since he didn't make it to the cockpit before he noticed the smoke.

Fal closed the front panel of his side project, hydrospanner whirring as he screwed the outer casing back on. The little remote droid was an older model, about the size of his clenched fist. He'd found it lying in a junkyard during one of their stopovers. The repulsorlift generator wasn't firing properly and none of the starboard manoeuvring thrusters worked, but Fal was pretty sure he could get it working again. What they'd use an unarmed surveillance remote for, he wasn't sure, but it kept him busy while they were in hyperspace.

Fal was just setting the last screw in place when the Dawn shuddered suddenly. He frowned, a quick check of his desk-chron showed they should have been in hyperspace for at least two more minutes. Sighing, the mechanic ran a hand through his close-cropped brown hair and stood up to go give Xall a lecture on not flying the Dawn like she was a crate with engines.

The ship shook again, a little more violently this time, and Fal's hazel eyes wrinkled in puzzlement. Was the Faleen taking them into an asteroid field or something? Shoving his heavy mechanic's workboots on without bothering to lace them up, he ducked out of his cabin and into the Dawn's central spine.

Under the YT-2000's interior lighting, Fal's fine, pale features looked sallow and washed out. His lanky frame was stuffed into a slightly oversized set of beige coveralls, worn unzipped to the waist to reveal the faded white vest beneath.

"Xall!" he yelled as he entered the main cabin, making for the cockpit. "Stop flying us into rocks, would you? You're not the one who has to fix her!"

Stopping, he sniffed the air for a moment, then turned and raced back down the ship toward the engine room. When you could smell something burning back there, you stopped yelling at the pilot and went to see what was on fire.

ooc: I'm not quite familiar with the YT-2000, it's essentially the Falcon, correct? ooc.

Stumbling out of her room, Sho'ana scrabbled to buckle on her equipment belt and holster.

Seeing Fal run back towards the engine room, she realised that she'd be more help if she went to help in the front of the ship. Ensuring her pistol was snug, she bolted towards the cockpit, placing her hands out in case Xall pulled any further idiotic maneuvers.

Reaching the cockpit, she looked out the window.

"So, Xall, I see you have the situation in hand. Anything you want me to do?"

Essentially, it has its root like the Falcon but it is VERY different. In the video, the YT-2000 is the Otana flown by the character you play as (the youngest brother Ace Azzameen in the game)

The ship shook sending a shudder through Sael's spine as he awoke immediately. He didn't bother to check if his weapons where ready and sprinted towards the cockpit. "Any idea what hit us?" he yelled, not directing the question to any single person.

Smelling the smell of smoke and seeing Fal run towards the engine room he followed, hoping that the damage was minimal.

OOC: Probably should check, is it "make one action until everyone has, GM then updates, rinse and repeat"?

[OOC] That is correct, however when two characters are interacting, such as you and WisdomLS characters, it goes on till the players have Role played it out and then the GM will take over. I do encourage characters talking and interacting. Makes alot less guess for me over how the characters think in a situtation [/OOC]

Ferrell swore loudly as the Interdictor cruiser entered his line of sight.

"It's a gravity well projector," he responded to Xall's question. "I'll get the sensor suite working on it right now."

ooc: Many thanks Swampy.

"Well, Xall, maybe once you finish getting us out of here, that may be a possibility."

Sho'ana turned to look through the cockpit window. "Well, this is a nice surprise. Nothing like an Interdictor in the morning."

With Sho'ana's exelent incentive drawing pictures in his mind Xall spun some even more deft spins to keep those damn fighters away, turning a tad purple as he did so.

Stumbling to catch her balance, Sho'ana glanced at the readouts.

"Looks like they hit us in the rear (OOC: that's what she said) boys, but I think Fal and Sael have it under control."

She then proceeded to take a seat, smiling devilishly at the Faleen in his displays of bravado.

Roche Astroid Field
Outlier system

2.5 years After Battle of Yavin

Xall pushed the throttle down and banked left hard as a flight of TIE fighters came up after the Syned Dawn. Already over the comm. He could hear the brisk harsh voice of a human male, trying to hail them before a stern sounding voice came over their comm. “By order of the emperor, the Syned dawn and her crew are to be detained and held for illegal activities against the empire, cease your flight or be destroyed”  It was then that the ship rattled as its shields took laser fire from the first flight of TIEs and from the rear, Xall swore he hear the voice of Fal yell something about laser fire from the rear of the ship as he again banked right as another flight of TIEs was released from the imperial star destroyers hanger. The task of handling the flying and the laser turrets that were on the top and bottom of the ship was fast becoming a drain on him. He hated flying distracted like this and that interdictor wasn’t making things any easier. Another blast of TIE fire hit the ship and he noted the shields even though they were holding were weakening; they needed a new plan and fast!

Fal meanwhile had headed into the back at the first hint of smoke. Not good! He thought to himself as he reached the engine compartment and grabbed his toolkit he kept back there.  These YT-2000s were like Naboo rivian glass clocks, elegant pieces of works that if you didn’t get right would fall apart everywhere. Fal knew from working countless hours on her that the Dawn wasn’t in her once prime condition anymore and these maneuvers that sithspit Fallen was putting them through was only putting strain on their hull. Suddenly the ship shock, this time not as from asteroids but…no! Laser fire!   Fal head heard it enough to know that sound distinctly and only one faction in the galaxy had the resources to track down a crew the size of the Dawn if they wanted to, The Empire had found them! Fal suddenly felt his body go cold.  Yelling at Xall to ask about the laser fire, Fal noted that the hyperdrive had been hit on the first past and was close to catching fire as smoke poured out of the generator, they were now stuck….

Sael was heading towards the rear of the ship to the hyperdrive compartment when the ship shock and the sound of laser fire rocked throughout the Dawn. Sael stopped, wondering whom the force was firing at them before heading to the engine room. There he found Fal frozen as he looked over the hyperdrive, Sael noted the man was shacking, his hands not the normal firmness of control he was known for. Something was wrong if Fal was this worried and he felt the second shake as the ship shoke again from laser fire….

In the cockpit, Lanii felt the blast hit the ship as the first waves of TIEs screamed over head.  She noted the imperial design and how anyone could fly them.  It was then that the smell of smoke hit her nostrils and she noted that the hull had sustained minor damage against that last laser blast.  Das was muttering to himself about the nine hells of corellia and how he wish damnation upon each and every one of those sithspawn imperials as the ship buckled against the second blast, It was then she noted that the technical readout on her display was showing the hyperdrive offline.  Lanii felt herself go cold as the Imperial star destroyer started moving into position to trap them…

Sitting in front of Lanii, Das was muttering to himself about the nine hells of corellia and how he wished them upon the imperials that were attacking them. Even though he had served in the imperial army, he still felt no responsibility towards which side his employers had been aiding in this war. Yet here he was, trapped against an imperial fleet and if the technical readout was right, no hyperdrive. He had no idea why that mechanic Fal had taken it offline now! But if he had then it wasn’t good. Letting Xall know they now had no way to escape till Fal got it worked out,  Das set about working the turrets to a defensive fire, even though the auto aim was good, it wasn’t as good if someone had been at the controls. Besides distracting the pilot or copilot, it also drained power faster to control them from the cockpit.  Next Das got to work on the sensor package. He noted that a small bubble was free of gravities anomaly’s just beyond the interdictors stern where the gravity bubble was weakest. Even though it wouldn’t get them to Roche proper, it would be a closer jump into the system. Now all they needed was to hold out, Das knew it was now going to be a race to the finish…..

Quick Recap:

Xall is in the cockpit piloting, the ship has been hit and the shields are weaking. The hull is holding but may break soon. The destroyers are launching more TIEs
Sael and Fal are working on the hyper drive; Fal knows that any mistake could break more components of the ship due to the YT-2000s precise components and build. Either one can try to assist the other. But one person has to be working on it primarily.
Das is in the cockpit. He has warmed up the laser cannons and is working on the sensor package for a escape, he has noted a escape route beyond and behind the interdictor.
Lanii is in the cockpit with Xall and Das. She is noting the technical readouts and assisting the pilot and copilot.

Sho'ana quickly glanced at the powe readings.

"I'm going to man the turrets myself, we need as much power for the shields as we can. Das, don't worry about setting up the defensive turret, work on getting us to that escape point."

She took one last lingering glance at Xall before bolting down the corridor to the turrets.

Sael was shocked at the extensive damage to the hyperdrive, but growing up as a warrior, he knew how to keep himself calm.

"Don't worry Fal, you got this. Just tell me what I can do to help." he said.

[OOC]My character is more of a fighter than a mechanic. I think that Fal should be the one primarily working on the hyperdrive and other damage.[OOC]

“Right, I’ve got this. Hyperdrive’s on fire, no worries.”

Fal’s voice was eerily calm, at odds with his shaking hands. Seeing the hyperdrive about to burst into flames had sent him through the stormy ocean of panic and into the calm waters of sheer terror beyond. Still, the big fighter’s confidence in him gave Fal enough of a boost to get his brain working again.

“Sael, I need you to disengage the hyperdrive’s fuel supply. We really don’t want that catching fire.”

Fal indicated a heavy-looking red lever on one side of the drive.

“It’s easy, just pull down on that. Only that one or you’ll cut fuel to our main engines as well.”

Grabbing a hydrocutter from his kit, Fal swiftly cut away the blasted panelling around the laser damage. The electronics beneath were a mass of fused connections, molten solder, and fried circuit board. It wasn’t as bad as he’d thought though, fixable if he was careful and the Imperial fighters stopped shooting for a minute.

Imperial Fighters. Fal’s blood ran cold as he reached for his wire-strippers and solder-blaster. The Empire’s hunting us down. You couldn’t hurry fixing a hyperdrive, much as he would have liked to, and Fal tried to strike a balance between speed and efficiency as he began rewiring around the damaged areas.

Hearing a whining, grinding noise from the drive overhead, Fal slid the toolbox toward Sael with a foot.

“There’s a panel on the upper right casing marked ‘pressure release’,” he said, still wedged under the drive. “Grab a hydrospanner from the kit, open the panel and twist the valve clockwise.”

ooc: I am making up every single thing about fixing a hyperdrive in this post. The wiki entry on hyperdrives was unhelpful. ;)

Sweat starting to form on his brow Xall headed toward the area that Das had identified jinking left and right as he did so.

Gaging the distance and the time it would take to get there he hit the inter-ship comm button "we've got one chance of getting out of here, we'll need some type of hyperdrive in 'x' seconds or we're bantha food."

"Roger that." Sael replied to Fal while he fliped the red lever that disengaged the hyperdrive's fuel supply. And he quickly picked up a hydrospanner from the tool box and opened the panal labeled Pressure Release. When he got it opened he turned the valve clockwise, just as Fal had said.

[OOC]I am glad I didn't have to make any of that up. You made it sound like that was really how to fix a damaged hyperdrive![OOC]

"You do that," muttered Ferrell absent-mindedly to Sho'anna. "We've got a small window right here," he said to Xall, pointing to the sensor readout. "Keep maneuvering, I'll get the navigation computer to make the necessary calculations for the jump to lightspeed."

Fal better get his ass in gear or we're screwed...
