Do you think that the Battle sisters should get more and better vehicles.  because they can only get 2 vehicles at the moment and they are not really great.  if you think that they should get new and better ones and if you think that the ones theyve got are good anough then that is up to you.

please tell us what you think

I'm of the opinion that quality matters more than quantity.  They could have 10 vehicle options, but it wouldn't matter if only 2 of them were worth taking.

As it stands now, it looks like the vehicles that Sisters have available are a good fit for their army.  I'm sure that SOB players would love to see the Land Raider as an option, but who wouldn't?

The question to ask is not "Do the Sisters of Battle need more vehicles".  Rather, the question that should be asked is, "Is there a short coming in the Sisters of Battle army list that can be filled with a new vehicle option?".  Personally, I don't really think there is.  The Sisters do lack long range fire support, with the only option being the Exorcist, but this roll might be better filled by making Missle Launchers an option for troops rather than making a  new vehicle option.  Then again, long range isn't what the Sisters of Battle are about.  You would probably be better off investing points in more Rhinos rather than optional weapons like missle launchers.

If you really feel like you need more vehicle options there is always VDR.  You just have to find opponents who will agree to those optional rules.

I never have a problem with VDR vehicles. If they made it properly then they have to really pay for a super tough vehicle. And it can make for some really cool conversions. But if they seem to have a vehicle thats pretty much invincible and still have a normal sized army, you'd probably be best off noting down the stats then working out the vehicle cost yourself. Then when you next see them you can kick the crap outta them (literally). I must be the perfect opponent. I dont care if it's unpainted, stand ins, an army using another list (ie Blood Angels using Space Wolves rules), it's VDR, mad conversions...... but what I wont take is a pair of legs on a base. And I've seen it done! And I dont really like overly excessive conversions with a 6 inch tall pile of bodies for a base. Thats just getting dumb. You can use those for display but when used in games it just blows.

Anyway, I was thinking that SoB should get some Land Raiders, Predators and Razorbacks. Also, some Land Speeders would be cool. But you'd have to put short-range weapons on most of them, mostly flamers of different sorts to keep in tune with the whole concept of SoB.

Think you can beat the name Lord Argroth? Then please send me a Personal Message with a cool name for a Khorne Lord but one which also fits in with normal Black Legion armies PLEASE!

Yeah but Slaanesh followers aren't real men. I mean who would walk around threatening people with a speaker and a siren? ;)

You guys seen the "Repressor" model from FW?

http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Badger.htm

AndyH has mentioned on the battle-sisters mailing list that the pintle-mount is a heavy flamer and could be an option for all SoB vehicles.  Also, the turret is a storm bolter.

That would make the Repressor a Rhino with a heavy flamer....

I'm guessing that bit on the top is not just there for show.  However, the rules for it haven't been released yet (CJ 51, I think).

Regardless, it's cool that more options (like the flamer) are in the works.

IMO

the SOB's should not have along range fire support veh/weapon option, as this would not fit with there fulff. They are more of a anti rebel force than a true army like the IG/Smurffs?

however some thing like a LRC would be a good idear as a special chacter/vehicle but would need a lot of fulff to justife this.

I don't know about that, Wellard, apparently at the height of the Ecclesiarchy's power, the Frateris Militia and Sisters of Battle were a potent enough force to cause the High Lords of Terra to subdue and disarm the Ecclesiarchy almost completely except for the Sisters.

The Order of the Argent Shroud and Order of Our Martyred Lady even saw service on Armageddon.

Regardless, I would definitely like to see more vehicles.  Perhaps Rhino variants, in tune with the Sisters' theme of devastating short-range weaponry.  Razorbacks and Predators equipped with Heavy Flamers, Multi-meltas, and Heavy Bolters.

Perhaps even a Land Raider variant, the Crusader in particular is appealing.

I believe that if you were to alter the SOB list with too many high powered armored vehicles...it would simply turn into a Space Marine list.

That is (almost was) the problem with the current Chaos Codex: it was a "Chaos" version of the SM codex (with some added fun). The new Chaos codex will liberate the Lords of Chaos from these restrictions and let us flex our gigantic daemonic muscles. =)

I would like to see more tanks for the good old sister however i don't want to see it as a high armoured chick SM army i would like to see some tanks from IG to crawl in but nothing with a armour 14 or huge fire power like ordance weapons just mobile tanks with good fire power but not hugely good.

I think that VDR creations work really well. I've used VDR to make a few vehicles for the Adeptus Arbites that I think are balanced and fun.

Talk with the opponents who you usually play against, and see if they'd let you use some house rules. For example, I've seen SoB players use Chimeras in place of Rhinos. Rhinos are ubiquitous, but certainly the Chimera is more common if found with the millions upon millions of IG units -- I'd imagine that an SoB unit could acquire some. Chimeras are a step up from Rhinos, IMHO.

The stats for the Exorcist is a 100p rhino with no tranport capability but instead a d6 Krak launcher on top.

The Immolators only weapon is the twin-heavy flamer.

And yes, a sister dread would be nice(and in theme with the fanatical sisters).

GW Mail Order had Ephrael Stern available as a bitz order, and the VDR stats in the ad.  Quite cool, if only we could get it CA.
