Topic: khorne army (my deathspears)

i have been thinking of making an army list of the chaos space marines codex that is all my own they are called deathspears.
led by a khorne lord on a juggernaut, Ardrox and the infamous daemon prince, Melbu, they together combine the two forces to create the deathspears. a Khorne protected army of savage killers.

here are the lists i have created for them, thesee lists will not gaurantee a win, but try to provide good support for both assault, and Anti tank. here are the lists.

Nice, fluffy army but even in 500pts list I would think about power fists for zerkers. Plasma pistols are rather costy and not effective and may kill one of your models. Why wouldn't you use demon weapon on your general? IMO chosens should have any ransport, especially if they are in cc configurations.

The Khorne Themed List.

I like your fluff.

But I would drop all but the fluffiest plasma pistol entry.
Don't upgrade rhinos.
Missile launchers instead of lascannons which are very unfluffy.
Your chosen spears could be leaner, 325 for 3 power weapons and a meltagun, how about 3 meltaguns and go from there. Also, you don't need 10 guys to have more special weapons to you don't necessarily need 10 chosen. Food for thought.

I would drop the plasma pistols. 1 AP2 shot is not worth risking loosing one of your charging berserkers. And its way too expensive.

Aso, you need fists on the 500 point list. It isnt common, but it is possible to find a dreadnaught/defiler/carnifex at 500 points, and that would royally screw your list.


I dont like your heavy support choices at all. Might be just me, but i do not find lascannons useful in 5th edition. Especially not with the price tag they come attached to. But you will need a way to deal with tanks, that is true.
