GW continues to hit it out of the ballpark:

Those with all the warcry war bands and chaos is looking great.

Those are sweet. All they need to do is update the marauders.

I'm absolutely in love lol... especially with all of the new war cry monsters!!!

That Sphinx is something I just have to have lol.

We'll see, I'm still waiting on the Hysh and Ulgu aelves to come into play!

Those are sweet. All they need to do is update the marauders.

I think to GW, the Mauraders are being replaced with all of the War Cry warbands.

Holy crapola, those are amazing! I've found my Chaos army (if and when I get around to it).

These are magnificent models.  GW does tend to produce very good Chaos Warrior models, but they have surpassed themselves with these.  Chaos players out there are likely to find it difficult to resist these.

Yeah, these are just plain good models. The fantasy aesthetic still works well for AoS with Chaos, just pumped up.

I don't get the "Ogroid" however. Sorry, I keep yammering about naming, which is perhaps the least important aspect of Warhammer, but just look at that guy! Ogres (or Ogors or whatever) are a thing in warhammer! Hooves, horns, stooping back. This dude is a minotaur with a human face, not an ogre of any kind! I know, I know, Chaos mutates, but just... why. Why mention ogres at all. I don't get it.

The sphinx is cool though, even if it sort of feels like a mix of Tzeentch and Slaanesh rather than quintessentially Undivided.

Also, if I'm getting this right - this means that the Everchosen are now a part of the Slaves to Darkness, right?

Oh, so they CAN make normal models without some swirly gak, a painfully long thin detail jutting out from the model or buried in various details as is the trend these times... Who could guess that they would turn out awesome :D

I honestly hope that some of the Aelven Factions that we're still waiting are inspired by this kind of approach. As much as I love Deepkin, would love some Fantasy Asur and Druchii inspired units far more.

I'm not sure what armies await me in the future, but I'll be waiting to compare the remaining Aelves to Slaves of Darkness before making a firm decision.

That is a correct assumption. Everchosen are definitely in this tome ;D.

Cheers for the confirmation, Myen'Tal!

Well, the Cult of Khaine kept some of the Dark Elf aesthetic even if they evolved the overall concept in a specific direction. Much of the rest seems doomed to sort of linger in limbo in the Cities of Sigmar Frankenstein-Army book though, as some kind of out-of-place gothpunk thing.

I hope the elves of Hysh preserves the Asur aesthetic, or at least some of it. It would make sense... I think? But then again a good deal of their units are ALSO relegated to Cities of Sigmar, so my hopes might be doomed and we'll get some sort of ethereal, whispy models with massive glaives or something and lots of horizontality and doodads.

Not only are these models sweet as hell, but they show that geedubs is able and willing to update its range whilst staying true to the previous ones aesthetic.  The gloomspite gitz were another good example of this.  It gives me hope for the Skaven and yes, even the Cities Of Sigmar.
