Musing on muses - interest check
« on: November 6, 2012, 03:15:21 AM »
So I find I have some spare time, more than enough to run a game here. Casual pace, maybe a post or two per week.

I was thinking of an investigation, a crashed spaceship, a little of the "Aliens"-feeling and possibly cultural crossover between Imperial Loyalist and Xenos scum (in this case Eldar).

Would there be interest in playing such a game and, just as a gauge for it, what would you rather play; marine, guardsman, arbites, or Craftworld Eldar?

I'd certainly be keen to take part. I'd prefer to play a human character, probably a Marine although Arbitrators would be an interesting change from the norm. The Deathwatch seem like they'd be a natural fit for investigating a downed ship though.

I was thinking Deathwatch too but then I thought it better this be a local concern, more focused on whatever regiment of imperial guard, detachment of marines are in orbit, and the local law enforcement might be available than have some stompy specialists turn up.

I would be interested. Been a while since I have done one of these and they are always fun just never seem to have actually ended.  regardless slate me in as an IG regiment for interest.

I'd certainly be interested as well. Imperial Guard all the way, but I'd be ok with a space marine or arbiter to.

I'd be interested as well, been looking for a reason to be more active on here. Imperial Guard would be my first choice, followed by Arbites and then Marines. Not a whole lot of interest in the Eldar personally, but I'd give it a shot.
"Our end is come, but what an end! We have been given the most precious gift: a chance to roar our defiance into the foe that overwhelms us with their numbers. Let the Emperor Himself hear our final battle cry! Forward, warriors of the Guard, and die like the heroes you are!"

So we have three guardsmen and one marine. Seems a bit light, but a good start to an investigation.
I will leave interest up a while longer and see who else might wander by, and then start up character creation.

Now I don't have the latest version of all the codeci, so some of the new fancy terms you kids use nowadays might be lost on me, but these are run-of-the-mill grunts, not superheroes or legendary characters, and character creation will follow this little formula I devised, so it shouldn't be too bad.

I could be interested in an Eldar character...  if it is warranted. If it doesn't fir due to other players choices, I'd go with an I-guard
So, what your saying is it's not your fault you look stupid by using words you don't get?
Flawless logic.

The way the group looks I think Imperial Guard or Arbites would be more fitting.
