I really like both basing you have on the stormcast, the one with the red and green flecks seems to fit really well with your colour scheme. The details on those round shields look fantastic.

Well mate you have a gosh darn strong dedication to variety in headstyling, this 1 squad guardians have more hair out than my whole eldars army combined.  That's some insane dedication to faces ! I run Away from those with all my might.

I can't speak about any of the interest of these age of sigmar minis but... What a color skim, I love it! it's so slick! The balance on all the model is pretty damn spot on, these guy's have a very menacing aura to them. Pretty sure on a table they are looking amazing ! Congrats !

Thank you, Grizzlykin! Yeah, I'm still working on improving my face game lol, can't get better at something by not doing it. Thanks about the stormcast too, I'm thinking of continuing to work on them!

Thanks, going to probably need to get more of both types of basing material. Still need to highlight and do some fancy stuff with those shields!

Holy cow that was an impressive update Myen'Tal! Your Stormiest look super impressive; the pink/blue/gold colour scheme is excellent and the execution superb too.

Those Storm Guardians are coming along brilliantly too. Cracking work!

Thank you, Loosh!

Yeah - it didn't seem like much when painting, but looking at all these stormcast now definitely put into perspective for me how much I actually did.

20 models from putting the initial paint scheme on the entire army - wow!

nice work. I really like that red and green basing for that colour scheme, those tuffs also look amazing, really nice mix of colours in them.

Those Stormcast are simply lovely Myen'Tal. The touches you've made have really propelled the model to the next level. Excellent work.

Thanks guys,

Going to try for a few more highlights and clean up on a few areas like the scabbard, then I think I'll be happy to call it done on this one.

The colours are great.  You've managed to capture the ostentatious nature of the models without excessive glare being applied from the paint.  Purple and gold has always been a very effective combination.

Thank you, that was the crux of this paint scheme - how to make it dark enough to look intimidating and not appallingly bright, haha.

Working on some banshees.

Thank you, Grizzly!

Yeah I tried a custom scheme originally, but then decided you just can't beat the classic scheme.

Thanks,

Something stirs in the heart of the Craftworld

A war beat to make the heart sing

And stoke the the hearts of the Aeldari to fervent rage

Trying to follow Juan Hidalgo's tutorial - just had to improvise some paints and create a few extra steps due to user error on my end lol.

More progress on the Avatar!

Thank you!

Still have a good ways to go - but super happy with where he is right now. I'm in the stage of cleaning up and touching up other areas, the next stage will be the gems.

You have certainly got the colours spot on.  The flames in particular look very authentic.  I look forward to seeing the finished model.

Thank you, Irisado!

I performed some clean up duties on the model, and added a bit more to the Avatar's molten body. Still some things that need to be cleaned up, like the gems needing to be fixed. After that is done, I'll move on to highlights.

Work continues on the Aeldari!

Also, took a moment of opportunity to build this dude!

And stumbled upon a much bigger opportunity to buy this beautiful sylvaneth army from a friend!

Your progress, as always, is phenomenal. I'm always awestruck by just how much work you get done.

The Avatar is looking extraordinarily good. I think you've done a top notch job with the overall 'heat' of the model, without the flames aspect overwhelming the rest of the detail. Really great job that is going to push me to new levels when I paint mine!
