This may sound like a stupid question, but...
« on: October 22, 2012, 06:14:53 AM »
In the WH40K codices and rulebooks sold in the United Kingdom, are the measurements given in English or in Metric units?

I'm asking because I just bought the 6th Edition mini-rulebook and a few other Dark Vengeance accessories from this dude in England via Ebay... and I only thought about this question after I'd sent payment.

If it is in metric it's really no big deal, but I'd like to know.

Thanks in advance for any and all answers.

As far as I know, all 40k measurements are done in inches/feet.
Lord of the Rings is one or the other, depending on your preferences and I have no idea about fantasy.

UK 40K measurements are in Imperial.
As are Warhammer.
Lord of the Rings is usually shown in both.

40k and Fantasy Measure are given in Inches, however, miniature base sizes are in centimeters.

Ah, if that's the case then I'll bet the exact same version is sold in both the UK and the States.

Makes sense; why go to the trouble and expense of making different versions for two countries who speak the same language (and essentially have the same basic means of measuring small distances).

Thanks for your clarifying answer, dude.   :)

The rulebook will have (proper) English spelling in it though. May be confusing!
