Metal:

-Base coat black
-Heavy drybrush with bolt gun metal
-add a thin coat of diluted flesh wash ink (for rust effect)
-dab a few blotches of bolt gun metal, using an old brush, here and there. Don't cover the flesh wash color where rust could be. Cover approx. 50% of the metal with bolt gun metal, leaving 50% with a rusty color.
-highlight edges, details and such with chainmail.

Cloth: still practicing it and deciding what colors I will use.

Odd, I do the metal the exact same way, I just use a 45/45/10 mixture of brown ink, black ink, and blue ink.  But yeah, it looks good!

As for cloth I don't know what color you want but I follow the same basic steps:

-Darkest possible color of that color, scorched brown, scab red, etc.

-50/50 mix of next color or shade a step up

-75/25 mix of same

-100 color next shade up

~Repeat the above for the next two colors

-Wash with a thinned down brown ink

-Drybush middle most color

I highlight by hand, drybrushing isn't really my style, takes forever but the results are great!  I do use that last drybrush though to "Ork" it up.

Hope this helps!

well as for cloth i really have not found any thing that looks that good. but for metal i have.  boltgun over a white base, then dry brush a blood red. then over that take blcak and drybrush that but do it with almost no paint on the brush at all. it really stands out.  then i dry brush with boltgun or mitheral to get the edge a metal color to make it look like it has been worn off some.  then some times i will put a chest nut ink over that to give it a rusty look.  it takes some time but ends up looking vary worn and dirty in the end.

i try to use a set color pattern per squad, usually its a camo patter of some kind for the shirts.  all of their pants are city camo : P
Chain swords are awesome.  The only way would be cooler is if they had tits and were on fire.

My regular boyz only have leather for their pants. The upper body I just drybrush boltgun metal and tin bitz. The legs get just a drybrush of Snakebite leather. For my Nobs and Warboss, all the what are supposed to be leather areas are painted leather. I apply a coat of snakebite leather and then apply a mix of 80/20 Mix of Snakebite leather and Blood Red for a more vibrant color.
