Purely for my own interest. Have you or will you get vaccinated when you can?

Conspiracy theorists will be mocked so just don't.

Currently I'm booked for my first dose of the vaccine for this coming Saturday.

I got the 1-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine about 6 weeks ago. If it becomes available again, go for it.

Purge from your mind all the "it may cause blood clots" nonsense. You're more likely to die from a bee sting. Your girlfriend's birth control - which she probably takes every damned day - is several orders of magnitude more dangerous and nobody gives a amphetamine parrot. And this is even assuming the risk turns out to be valid, which it very well may not.

The 1-shot vaccines are absolute game-changers and should be supported.

They're not giving us an option on which vaccine we get lol.  When we show up, they stick us with whichever they have on hand.  Pretty sure it's either going to be Pfizer or Moderna.

Oh yeah, I know that. But vaccine hesitancy is a serious problem and nobody should shy away from any of the vaccines available--all of them are life savers.

I'm still waiting for mine.  I don't mind if others are prioritised ahead of me going forward, as I don't have to go out and I have not left the house for more than a year anyway.  I definitely want to be vaccinated though.

Back during Easter there was a case of people saying no to vaccination appointments because they didn't want to interrupt their cabin holidays. It was from one of the country's wealthiest municipalities too, which is so on the nose it hurts.

The government is looking to inoculate people during summer as well, so hopefully people have learned their lesson and won't be traipsing about instead of turning up.

We've actually had vaccine tourism. Since all adults may make appointments and there's no requirement for residency limits people have been coming into town to get jabbinated, gamble, and maybe experience reefer madness.

My arm hurt for several days after getting my first dose.  Like... hurt to the point where I could not lift my arm more than a few degrees.

Overall, though, that wasn't bad.  Next shot is booked for August 14th, but word is that they are going to be accelerating the time between shots from 4 months to 3 weeks.

The number of doses coming into the province were less than was initially hoped for, so they prioritised getting first injections over second.  There is a large influx coming in, though; hence the rescheduling.  They've just changed the approved age range from 50+ to 12+, so I am glad that I got my first shot in when I did lol

I'm still awaiting my turn. I'll probably be among the last because they're doing it by age bracket here. My girlfriend was among the first to get her two Pfizer shots because they started with the elderly and healthcare workers. I'll leave it to your imagination which of those groups she's in.
