Who actually HAS a "lost" army?
« on: February 9, 2006, 07:57:25 PM »
I know alot of people like the idea of, and may even toy with the idea of a "Lost" army..

But who actually but the time and effort into building, converting, modelling etc a "lost" army?

And Which army and how big?

Myself I have 1100pts (and Growing) of genestealer cult..

Who else has an army and which one and how much?

(honestly here, no proxies..a dedicated, converted "lost" army)

I have one. Over the past two weeks, on both Ebay and Bartertown I have collected a "Lost" Squat army.

I am getting the pieces in the mail bit by bit, but according to the Squat Codex here in this board, I have anywhere from 2500 - 4000 points worth of Squats.

I bought too many squats actually. I have about 300 squat models.

I just got back from Iraq, so I have the cash to fulfill my dream of collecting OOP models.

I also have a "squad" of 9 Zoats now, but I have no clue what to do with them.

Harlequins - 4k, all original models
All DeathCompany (trial-rules, but still rare) - 2.5k, all DC or converted models.
Squats - building up, have 800 points painted, and I might have 2k in unpainted models still to do or something.
Eldar Pirates - about 2k in mostly original models
Exodites - I got these off a friend, and I have not gone through them to see what points it might be at, and how much repair it might need.

Lost Roads - finally released!

I have a 1000 to 1500pts in harlequins (depends on wargear).

Most models are original GW's. I like the armylist, yet have no time or intrest to do massive amounts of conversions.

Weaker Genestealers, overpriced conscripts without heavy weapons..self immobolizing vehicles...or do you mean back in 2nd ed when it was supported? If you've found a way to make it beardy let me know :P

I think you will need to elaborate a btad on that. The CJ-list (40 and 41 I think it was) was NOT overpowered, at least not in a way I have found yet. If you know a way; please do enlighten me.

I have a Squat army, probably about only 1500 to 2000 points. All of it is painted (apart from the Squat pirates).

I tried to do a chaos Squat army too but I have to use them with chaos.

I have more than 1850 pts of harlequins according to Cj 39 list(actually it's pretty unplayable above 1850 pts because I lack 5 basical troupers).

I also playtested a GsCult once, but it doesn't count.

I'm currently putting the finishing touches to a Zoat army I've been building for the past 12 months. I've added to some zoats I already had, and picked up loads from many ebay auctions and trades to give me an army of 30 zoats which represent tyranid warriors using the nid codex.

I've also got some little fellas I've converted representing rippers and gaunts, plus 2 big guys acting as fexes.

Some not so great pics here:

Wow! Thats very nice man. I have 8 zoats and I have been wondering what to do with them. I am going to get me some more zoats and steal your idea to use them as warriors...

They aren't overpowered per se... that's just what everyone I play against says.

[From an IG player]: "So, your army is basically like mine...but with genestealers?"
[Me]: "Yeah, I guess."
[IG player]: "Damn you..."

Personally, I find it to be a pretty balanced list.

I have a 200o point quin army

and i also have a 2750 list arbite army.
However, everything about Tarrin is unfair and should be sanctioned with extreme prejudice.

The Globals have issued a 2:1 ruling that yes, yes everything about Tarrin is indeed unfair. We have also been sullied merely by contemplating this.

I have 20 harlequins, and 2 of each of the characters (only 1 guy is painted so far)
about a dozen genestealer hybrids, a magus, a patriarch... a bunch of genestealers. IG for brood brothers.
