Topic: grey knight troops question

Hi. I'm thinking about starting a daemonhunters army and I have a question about the grey knights. Do grey knight troops have a dedicated transport? And if they do, what transport do they have? I can't find in the codex where it lists they can have a transport but i would think that they would have one. Since they are similar to space marines I would think that they would be able to ride in a rhino but I am not sure.

GK's can't take a Rhino as transport.
You'll have to take a LR if you want to transport them.

Basically if an option isn't there, it isn't there. Its a completely different codex to Space Marines and follows it's own rules only.

The fluff or background reasoning for no transport options for the Grey Knight in the Daemonhunters Codex entry is they normally deepstrike via teleportation into combat.

Perhaps but the reason why G.K's are outshone is because current codex's make use of dirt cheap transports and mech is actively encouraged in5th edition.
Also G.K's were made to fill a very specific campaign style niche and thats been overshadowed.
When we do get an update they probably will be able to take Rhino's.

The other way GK troops would enter combat besides Deepstiking via teleportation would be by ThunderHawks and their variants.  As noted in the latest GW Codex release (Blood Angels) the Storm Ravens are used by GK and are really a way of using something similar to a TH w/o using the massive TH model.  So I doubt Rhinos will be used by GK troops as they will sell many more of the new spiffy flying machines.

If you are looking to start GK I say wait, gk are due for an update inside the next 12 months with all new figs
