Your paint is smooth. The battle damage on them looks great. Color transition is really clean. I can't get over the flesh tones, I usually opt out for helmets because mine look to cartoonish. Yours are so clean. Keep it up!
Thanks man! I have a flesh scheme pretty much down packed, but I still have a bit of trouble on larger smooth areas (like bald heads). Faces, with all the detail, are the easiest.
Bugmans glow- fleshed wash- cadian fleshtone pretty much all over, keeping the recessed areas dark, and then an edge highlight on brows, nose, ears etc with Kislev flesh.
Love the Grey Hunters, Squid! I agree with Dread, I think you nailed the flesh on each of the models. I think the power armor came out very well, too! Also, you paint pretty fast!
Thanks!
The basecoats/ pin washes took the most time. I'm pretty much at the stage with the whole army now, that I'm just doing highlights and blocking in the non-armour colours. Now that I've got the techniques down, I can chew through the models pretty fast. I put in an hour or so a day (more on weekends), so I can get a squad done a week (or so).
I'm just worried about burnout, as I have 35 more power armoured marines built I need to paint. :-P But, the squad markings, battle damage and transfers keep me excited for the end stages.
Just finishing up my rune priest now.
