Good Lord! It has been a long time 40k-ers! Holler at your boy!

Man it has been awhile... you know how university will do that to some people :P

summer is coming up, and i've been aching for some warhammer...

now... i've decided to take necrons in a different direction, from one that i might take normally... let me know what you guys think...

some of you might be wondering about the lords... so i'll explain now... some of you might know my good friend chrono... well he has this tendency to put his farseer's on jetbikes... and run them up and bother you... so i figure... when in rome... do whatever it is that completes this quote...

here we go... a standard 1700 pt list... let's check it out:

1 Necron Lord (HQ)
     Staff of Light
     Phylactery
     Nightmare Shroud
     Destroyer Body
1 Necron Lord (HQ)
     Staff of Light
     Phylactery
     Phase Shifter
     Destroyer Body
12 Warriors (Troops)
     Gauss Flayer
12 Warriors (Troops)
     Gauss Flayer
12 Warriors (Troops)
     Gauss Flayer
10 Flayed Ones (Elites)
     Claws; Disruption Field
10 Flayed Ones (Elites)
     Claws; Disruption Field
3 Wraiths (Fast Attack)
     Claws
3 Wraiths (Fast Attack)
     Claws
3 Scarabs (Fast Attack)

Necrons: 64
Phase Out at: 16
Models in Army: 67
Total Army Cost: 1700

the wraiths will rush with the lords... and hopefully with the scarabs tie a good ammount of their army in combat... long enough for the flayed ones to deep strike...

you dig?

Welcome back!

I like your list a lot. Maybe get 5 more swarms so you are at 1750 pts :).They will also help with the entanglement.

I suggest infiltrating your Flayed Ones. This way they will be in CC in turn 2-3 ( 2 if your lucky :) while if you deepstrike them, they won't even move till turn 3 (again if you are lucky). Your lords with the wraiths and the scarabs won't have much difficulty catching up. If you deepstrike the Flayed Ones, your Lord plus wraiths might be dead before they arrive (especcially agains CC buggers like demon heavy chaos armies, DE, you name it).

Some more notes: Get rid of the Disruption fields on the Flayed ones and give them to your scarabs. Much more bang for the buck, imho.
MAybe it is a matter of personal preference, but I would also recoommend phase scythes on the lords. Okay, you loose the shooting, but you will be able to take down angry Monsters, Chaos lords etc. much easier by ignoring those pesky saves.
