Silly escalation question
« on: September 13, 2006, 09:45:41 AM »
Hi folks,

I am trying new stuff (for me) with my guard these days and I realized I've never played with heavy weapons teams, like anti tank, and fire support squads.

I was just wondering, if I get hit by escalation, what happens to them? Do they stay in reserves? Or do they start on the table?

I had assumed they come out. I remember with my Eldar, the Heavy Weapons platforms stayed in reserve, so I thought I should ask to be sure.

Heavy Weapons Platoons are counted as basic infantry, not Artillery.  (See the funny chart on pp 268 of the BGB I believe).  Hence they are able to deploy as normal in Escalation scenarios.

In addition, if they're attached to your command platoon, they will deploy with your commander.
