1500 Points List
« on: May 4, 2009, 03:38:27 PM »
Righto, I'm currently stuck at Uni but I've decided it would be fun to through on a list anyways.

Tell me what you think.

1500

HQ
-Command Squad
  Power Weapon
  Regimental Standard
  Plasma Gun

-Lord Commissar
 Power Weapon
 Caraprace Armor
 Melta bombs

185

Elites
-Psyker Battle Squad
 Two additional Psykers

80

Troops

-Infantry Platoon One
  -Command Platoon
    Plasma Gun
  -Heavy Weapons Team
   3 Lascannons

  -Infantry Squad
   Plasma Gun

  -Infantry Squad
   Meltagun

  -Infantry Squad
   Meltagun

-Infantry Platoon Two
  -Command Platoon
    Plasma Gun

  -Heavy Weapons Team
   3 Heavy Bolters

  -Heavy Weapons Team
   3 Heavy Bolters

  -Infantry Squad
   Plasma Gun

  -Infantry Squad
   Meltagun

  -Infantry Squad
   Meltagun

715

Fast Attack

-3 Scout Sentinels
 3 Lascannons

150

Heavy Support
-2 Leman Russ
 2 Lascannons
 2 Heavy Bolter Sponsons

370

Main idea is to use the Psykers to lower enemy Leadership and batter them with Tank support from the Leman Russes while charging the Infantry Squads forward with reckless abandon.

Commissar Lord for Leadership and frontline duty.
Heavy Weapons Teams to sit on objectives while providing fire support.
Sentinels to act as Tank Snipers.

While techincally you have enough anti tank I dont trust sentinels with lascannons anymore. They just dont have enough shoots. I would say get another lascannon team with 3 lascannons. I say this because i have had a game where two sentinels both with lascannons shoot 3 turns in a row at a hive tyrant and score no wounds and end up being destroyed at the end of the game.

The rest looks fine. Though you might want to reconsider your reckless abandon idea in KP missions.

But it's fun.

KP will probably place greater emphasis on the psykers and attempt to get as much of the enemy to flee off the board as possible. Oh, and merging the infantry squads.

Indeed it is fun and yes you could merge them and try to run as many of the enemy squads off the board. Merging would be the better option. Trying to run squads off the board would put too much risk on your psyker squads. They are still flak armoured after all.
