The 40kOnline Forum Awards 2007.

See the above for the rules and specifics of the Forum Awards, and use the linked thread for general questions.

Make your nominations for the Tau Poster of the Year here in this thread or through PMing me (though clearly title it so I can easily tell what it's about). The only limit is that you can not nominate the previous winner, who in this case was Doktor Rummy.

~MTWC

Only one nomination per person please. Cheers. - Rummy

Whilst I do admire Derikaris enthusiasm, helpfulness and generally all around goodness, if there is any justice then it will be Oink! Always friendly, always helpful, doesn't get bored and wander off, an excellent - and proven - Tau player (hence two tourney wins) who will happily share his knowledge, his fluff ain't too shabby either. ;) Not only that, but he has done it consistently throughout the entire year (and for even longer, come to that). Derikari (unless I'm thinking of the drink again....) has only had about 2/3 of the year to show his stuff. It's not quantity over quality, the quality is about the same overall.

-S (don't worry Oink, I wouldn't have voted for me either.....)
I reserve the right to end any discussion with a big stick.

Yeah well, it's kind hard to decide. This place is so full of newb-friendly, great oracles and I'd vote for all of them if I could :)

I nominate oink, he's always helpful when he drops by.

I'm going to nominate Web Ghost.

His contributions have always been rather enjoyable to read, especially in regards to his recent work with the Vespid. Keep up the good work!

I would also like to take this opportunity to extend my thanks to everyone here for making this such a great community! I've really enjoyed wasting spending as much time as I have here when I should have been doing school-related things.  :P

Happy holidays to you all; I wish you the best of luck in the coming year!

Allright!  Thanks Rudkin.  Quick.  Someone nominate Rudkin (I'm out of nominations.)  His articles have been very informative and usefull, especially the crisis suit configurations one which helped inspire the revival of the projects (W.I.P.)

i think its really great to have lots of nominations for different people... it shows just how great the tau community is... no one is going to be running out ahead on their own!

i think in the spirit of the greater good the award should be canvassed over all tau board posters... lol  :D

No. For while we speak of the Greater Good to others deep down we're petty and be-atchy people with elitism issues.  :)

Quick.  Someone nominate Rudkin (I'm out of nominations.)

I will. Rudkin deserves to be included in the running as well.

Thanks, Rummy (and congrats on the win last year)!

...but why didn't you use the Modify button like everybody else?  :P

To make sure people noticed that you've been nominated and not ignored. I didn't want the process to be bypassed once it comes time to tally the nominations and get going.

There is method to my madness grasshopper.  :D

Nominations will be closed on the 16th of December (after 2 weeks of being open), make sure you get your nominations in in time :).

Also, don't forgot the General Awards, which includes: Funniest Member, Best Local Mod and the Kijayle Commemorative Award for Acid Wit.

Now that nominations are closed I would like people to remember the fantastic work Oink and Sytoru have done with our army list threads, the XV8 configuration article written by Rudkin, Sytoru's work on the sadly neglected Tau Projects, and everyone else (Web Ghost and Derikari) who help streamline army lists, create new models and conversions, and generally make the community a fun and helpful place to be.

Remember to cast your vote once the poll opens and, as they say in some states, remember to vote early and often.  ;)

Show some love to the people you like. While an internet forum vote is hardly the Nobel Peace Prize it's always nice to be appreciated.  :)
